Hexanexus

A spatial connection device crafted by a mysterious organization in the Artisanship Commission. It is rarely used due to its obscure structure and hardcore difficulty.
Based on a mortise and tenon puzzle, the cube can be unlocked by aligning real and imaginary pieces in specific spatial orientations.

Hexanexus is a type of puzzle found on the Xianzhou Luofu. Initially, they resemble and function similar to a 2×2 Rubik's Cube.

Story

After completing 4 Hexanexus puzzles, the player will receive a message from ???, who claims to be the President of the Hex Club. ??? will attempt to coerce the player into completing all the Hexanexus, or otherwise receive a fine for double the value of whatever rewards the player has already taken from completing the Hexanexus.

After completing 10 puzzles, the player will be contacted by the Hex Club again, this time in the form of a user feedback survey.

Finally, after completing all 15 available Hexanexus, the player will be asked to meet with the Hex Club. The messenger, Think-Tank, will ask the player how to improve the Hexanexus, so that more people attempt to complete them. Afterwards, the puzzle will change to include symbols that need to face in a specific direction for the puzzle to be completed.

New Hexanexus will now appear in various areas with the updated design.

After completing the subsequent set of 15 Hexanexus, the Hex Club will message the player again, saying that the results of the new test were mixed, and that they're considering adding a storyline to make the marketing more interesting. Upon giving them some ideas, the Hex Club will bid the player farewell until "the next version."

Gameplay Notes

Initial

Hexanexus puzzles involving rotating a central block so that the plates on the sides match where the "shadow" of the central block would be, if light was shining on the central block from the left and right.
When the block is in the correct position, the plates on the side will glow golden.

After Story

After completing the mini-quest related to the Hexanexus, the new ones will additionally have symbols that need to line up and face in the correct direction.

Hexanexus is a space junction device made by a mysterious organization in the Artisanship Commission. It attracted almost no notice because it is difficult to understand. Interact with the Hexanexus to activate it and solve the puzzle.

Rotate the corresponding area of the Hexanexus so that the physical block of the Hexanexus corresponds to the plates on both sides.

Some cubes have special patterns on them, which need to match the patterns on the plates on the two sides to solve the puzzle of the Hexanexus.

Locations

Known Bugs

As of 2023/05/01, there is a bug that makes you unable to do the 15 2.0 Hexanexus challenges if you solve the newly spawned puzzle in front of Think-Tank before talking to him. He will modify the puzzle for you, which he can't do if you've already solved it.

Trivia

The Hexanexus' appearance might be a reference to Zhongli's Elemental Burst in Genshin Impact, another game by miHoYo, as the device heavily resembles the falling meteor seen in Zhongli's burst.
