Area

Areas are the explorable locations found within Honkai: Star Rail. Each area can be filled with various interactables, including but not limited to: Playable Characters, NPCs, Treasure, Puzzles, Enemies and Achievements.

Overview

Areas are explorable zones with various degrees of size and content. They are often unlocked through the progression of Trailblaze Missions, though some might be temporarily explored during the story before being unlocked later. The one shared trait among all areas is the presence of Space Anchors, which serve as the primary mode of transport for the player within and going between areas. Some areas will also have interactions that will transport the player to another area.

Towns

Towns are a unique category of areas. With the exception of Dream of Gnawing Oak, each Town is completely free from Enemies. Playable Characters will also play a unique "Returning to Town" voiceline whenever they enter these areas. Towns can be clearly distinguished by their unique art within the Star Rail Map.
