Ode of Resurrected Wings

Drifting through the cracks of time in search of the light.

The wings scorched by the blazing sun once fell to the pale earth, into a lightless chasm.
Then fall... She will bear it all. The weight, the darkness, those defiant follies, those lives that slipped away...
In that long slumber forgotten by time, even sorrow faded away. Pain and despair faded too... As did joy. As did memory. All withered away, for all is vanity.
A hundred years passed in the blink of an eye. Kingdoms upon the earth fell and rose anew, yet she never awoke.
But no matter how much unspeakable darkness lay buried within her heart, a bird cannot pretend not to see the coming of spring.
