A few knights seem to be exchanging information on surveying techniques...

Tres: Instructor, what do you think of the design of this survey route?

Mika: The height here... and the obstacles... You've managed to preserve real-world conditions without compromising the difficulty of the challenge... And you've even managed to retain a degree of fun. Very well done.

Mika — Coordinates of Clear Frost
Mika, Front-Line Land Surveyor of the Knights of Favonius, is a cautious and somewhat-shy teenager.
Mika is a member of the Reconnaissance Company. A dab hand at handling various problems during operations, Mika takes on responsibilities including mapping the terrain, setting up tents, starting fires for cooking, etc.
That's what Mika does — in addition to his surveyor duties, he also helps out with logistics.
Do not underestimate these tasks — without sufficient logistic support, the entire company would not be able to function properly.
As the helper behind the scenes who constantly watches everyone's back, Mika is undoubtedly a pillar of the team.

Mika: Mr. Tres, I don't think I have much more to teach you. The next step is to consolidate what you've learned and apply it to new scenarios...

Tres: But...

Elowen: What else are you worried about?

Elowen: If I could learn as fast as you can, the gunsmiths of the 8th Coy... especially Koch, would parade me around as the poster child for hard work, then use me to guilt-trip those lazybones!

Tres: You're already doing very well, Elowen...

Tres: Didn't you make the calibration objects we used this time? If it had been my job, uh... they probably would have ended up in Vice Captain Lohen's display case of unidentified objects...

Mika: This is Mr. Tres. Vice Captain Lohen sent him here to compare notes and learn some cartography skills with me, so together we designed the "Surveying and Searching" challenge...

Elowen: Honestly, Tres is exactly like you in that regard. He's clearly mastered his cartography skills, but the way he carries himself...

Elowen: Speaking of which, why don't we let our Honorary Knight try out the "Surveying and Searching" challenge that Tres designed? It's the perfect chance to see how good he really is!

Mika: Hmm, that seems like a good idea... If our Honorary Knight and Paimon have the time...

Paimon: Are you sure we can handle it? Surveying... sounds super complicated. We haven't studied any of that stuff!

Mika: Even if the terrain is diverse and the surveying process is quite complex... This should still be child's play for our Honorary Knight, who has adventure experience that's in a league of its own!

Why don't you tell me something about yourself?

Elowen: M—Me? I'm just an ordinary knight, and I'm good at... Well, actually, there's nothing I'm particularly good at, but there are things I'm particularly bad at.

Elowen: For example, muskets are so complicated... No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to maintain them properly. Ugh... There are so many steps that only Koch can remember them all! Oh, by the way, Koch is the gunsmith at Dornman Port...

Elowen: Recently, the Logistics Company provided us with "Standard Field Rations," comprising five cans and nine paper packets. Everyone else complained they were incredibly salty...

No, I just want to chat for a while.

Tres: Oh, okay... Wait, so... Am I supposed to come up with a topic? Ahem. Well, let's start with me, then.

Tres: I serve in the Ranged Company and am often assigned to work under Vice Captain Lohen. My duty is to scout ahead of the main unit and its flanks to gather initial intel on enemy movements...

Tres: In short, I scout the terrain ahead, mark dangerous areas and approximate enemy positions on the map, and then report back to the others.

Tres: Previously, Amber and Mika handled these tasks. But they can't be in two places at once, nor can they attend to all the companies at the same time.

Tres: Oh, and Eija Gretel, too. She's a signals officer from the 7th Company who works with a trained falcon!

Tres: The falcon may look a bit intimidating, but Eija is a reliable and easy-going person. I've heard that she often accompanies Amber to the Reconnaissance Company's camp...

Tres: Oh, she's pretty close to Elowen, and she raved about how good Elowen's cooking is. It made me want to try some for myself.
