Calcerius
Last updated 2026-05-28
Calcerius is a quest-exclusive NPC who appears in the World Quest Counterfeit Classics in Series A Long Day in the Mountains: Chapter 1 - Paradise.
Profile
Calcerius is one of the "Uplifted," people chosen to be preserved as living memories in the Temple of Space.
He is an ichorified man from the Remurian area whose faith in Phobos was stripped away by the Apathic Interval. After being uplifted to the Temple of Space, he wrote and shared stories with Okikuni and Yu Huangyi. They based their novels on true events, altering storylines to create bizarre results. When Melanta learned of these stories, he deemed their work a pollutant and imprisoned them as paper within pages at the Mahavaipulya Chamber.[1]
During the World Quest Counterfeit Classics in Series A Long Day in the Mountains: Chapter 1 - Paradise, the Traveler and Paimon arrive at Mahavaipulya Chamber and find Calcerius, Okikuni, and Yu Huangyi trapped inside the pages. They free them and Yu Huangyi volunteers to accompany them on their quest to free the whole Mahavaipulya Chamber and its residents from Melanta's curse. They ultimately succeed and Calcerius, Okikuni, and Yu Huangyi go back to writing their stories.
Appearance
Calcerius is a tall man with ichorified skin, long white hair, and stony eyes. He wears a toga made of layers of white and dark blue fabric. The toga is adorned with golden details and is held in place by a strap around his torso. Calcerius wears black and gold sandals, a laurel wreath, and a diadem mask, which is typically worn by people from Remuria.
