Hiljetta

Hiljetta is an open-world NPC located on Wavechaser Plain, Nod-Krai. She can be challenged as a Local Legend.

Profile

Hiljetta is a very old woman who lives in a small alcove in Wavechaser Plain. She is the grandmother of the travelling merchant Tolfin, and has a reputation among the Treasure Hoarders as the "Black-Barreled Hag" due to her incredible combat proficiency.

She wishes to bring back the glory days of the early Treasure Hoarders when Reed Miller led the group. She is also in possession of one of the Proof of the Cognoscenti, holding onto it and only giving it away to those who wish to restore the organization's legacy. She resents Brahe, the third Reed Miller and her ancestor, for cheapening Reed Miller's legacy in her eyes.

Prior to the Traveler's arrival in Nod-Krai, as recounted by Lushne, she is accosted by Agents from the Fatui but easily dealt with them (with Sukhovykh managing to pull Lushne out before the Fatui can have a chance to take him as a human shield). The Traveler first meets Hiljetta during the World Quest The Raven's Legacy in Series East of the Moon, West of the Sun after acquiring the other four Proof of the Cognoscenti. Learning that they were in possession of the four pieces, Hiljetta decided to test the Traveler's mettle after revealing to be in possession of the final piece. Since Tolfin had brought them to her, she decided not to go all-out. The Traveler bested her in the spar and she gave them the final piece, satisfied that the Treasure Hoarders would have a worthy successor. This confused the Traveler, as they did not know that both of them were associated with the group, which caused her to scold Tolfin for neglecting to tell them about it.

Despite this, the Traveler agreed to fulfill Miller's dream, and Hiljetta sent them to the treasure site. While some of Brahe's "tricks" were there, she was confident that they could handle them without issue.

Upon acquiring Miller's treasure and learning the truth, the Traveler met with Tolfin, who told them that Hiljetta had taken a liking to the Traveler. He asked them not to turn down her offers and that she would be fighting more seriously in these rematches.
