Polonsky

Polonsky (Russian: Полонский Polonskiy) is a quest-exclusive NPC who first appears in the Archon Quest Gunfire in the Silent Lands in Chapter VII: Act I - Everwinter Without Mercy.

Profile

Polonsky is the Fatui personnel in charge of delivering Kresnik Kristall to Sretomorozsk twice a month. The Traveler witnesses his dispute with the town's citizens when Alyosha takes them to witness the current state of Sretomorozsk's Kristall shipments following Project Stuzha's implementation.^[2]

After finding evidence that Shishkin and the town mayor have been colluding to steal Kristall from each delivery and resell it elsewhere, Alyosha and the Traveler inform Polonsky. The three confront Shishkin in-person, and once Polonsky's men discover the mayor's stash, Polonsky has both of them arrested and sent to Snezhnograd to await judgement.^[2]

Alyosha's thorough investigation into the conspiracy leads Polonsky to openly imply that Alyosha is a member of the Rokot, an organization which stands against Project Stuzha, though Alyosha denies it. After Polonsky leaves, claiming that "it's [his] turn to brush up on [his] math," Alyosha suggests that his failure to notice the scheme was the result of either incompetence or bribery. Regardless, the fact that Alyosha allowed the Fatui to save face gives him and the Traveler leverage to compel the Fatui into helping rerail the Traveler's train.^[2]
