Dialogue
Mualani told you about the many aquatic attractions on offer at Wavey Bay...
- (Approach the marked location)
-
- (The time changes to day)
- Mualani: Woohoo!
- Mualani: Sunshine, waves, and koholasaurs!
- Paimon: Aaand the minute she sees the water, it's like the rest of us don't exist. Paimon thought "Umoja" meant no person left behind...
- Mualani: Quick, this way! C'mon guys, stop lollygagging... Let's go!
- Bennett: Oh! Coming, coming!
- Mualani: Look, tell me what you see.
- Paimon: A wooden plank.
- Mualani: Not just any old wooden plank. Read what it says!
- Paimon: Ohhh, it's a sightseeing map.
- Mualani: Exactly! This map is as precious as a key to a vault of untold treasures...
- Bennett: Yeah, I see that! It's like a call to adventure!
- Mualani: Yes! Or, like a burning ember of phlogiston!
- Bennett: Phlogiston? Oh... That's a type of energy, isn't it? So, is a map like phlogiston because... just a little spark is enough to light a fire under someone?
- Mualani: Exactly! And just like phlogiston, a map is super important!
- Mualani: With a map to guide your way, you're free to carve out your very own path of adventure!
- Bennett: Hehe, freedom and adventure! I like the sound of that!
- Asha: ♪
- Paimon: Whoa, whoa, hold your horses, folks... Why does Paimon feel like Mualani's hiding something?
- Mualani: Alright, everyone, time for solo exploration!
- Paimon: Wait, what kind of tour guide calls it quits the minute we get to the part where we're supposed to, y'know... TOUR!?
Maybe Mualani just wants to go off on her own?
Even a "guide" deserves a vacation.- Mualani: Hehe, spoken like a true friend. I won't forget that you had my back!
- Mualani: Here, just take a look. These two major attractions have been marked "Under Testing." My guess is that they've run into some issues.
- Mualani: So, if we split up, we all get to check out the attractions we're interested in, and we can help out with the testing at the same time! Maybe we'll even get Wavey Bay up and running sooner than expected!
- Paimon: Oh, so you were looking out for the group the whole time... Sorry. Paimon thought you were just obsessing over water activities...
- Mualani: Hehe, don't sweat it. Why don't we regroup near that giant koholasaur building when we're done?
- Mualani: Based on the guiding experience I've racked up over the years, my gut tells me the entrance to the main challenge should be somewhere around there!
- Chasca: Sure.
- Mualani: Alright then, let's split up. Don't forget to keep checking the map!
- (Approach Mualani)
-
- (Starts Quest Time to Test the Twilight Cruise!)
- (Approach Bennett)
-
- (Starts Quest Time to Test the Asha Speedrun!)
- (Talk to Chasca, optional)
- Chasca: Sharp eyes! I didn't expect you to spot me all the way up here.
- Chasca: Looks like you've taken an interest in the facilities here as well.
Are they fun?
- Chasca: I think they're pretty good, but "fun" is subjective. What I say's not gonna sway you, you'll have to try it for yourself.
Are they complicated?
- Chasca: Relax, it's easy. Fitting, given the name of this place. You wouldn't be able to find anything "complicated" or "hard" around here even if you tried.
- Chasca: See that track over there?
- Chasca: Use paintballs to color the balls lined up on the tracks. Once they're all the same color, the balls will disappear with a "bang."
- Chasca: By which I mean that someone else might be standing nearby with their own gun. They'll be waiting to send those colored balls flying when the time's right.
Amazing...
I almost want to believe you.- Chasca: Give it a try and see. Just use that gun over there.
- Chasca: I'll watch you play this time. Good luck.
- (Talk to Chasca after completing the Rainbow Beams challenge, optional)
- Chasca: How was it?
A little easy.
- Chasca: Haha, so sure of yourself! Nevertheless, I think you did a great job.
My eyes... Everything's a blur.
- Chasca: Haha, staying focused takes a lot of energy.
It was fun.
- Chasca: Was it? Then it looks like we've come to the same conclusion.
- Chasca: Maybe I can give some suggestions to the staff to have them make improvements down the line.
- Chasca: In any case... They should really let two contestants compete to see who comes out on top.
- (After completing both child quests)
- Paimon: Must be about time to go meet up with the others. Now, we just need to find that giant koholasaur building— Oh, there it is!
- (Approach the marked location)
- Mualani: Great, let's do a headcount. One, two, three, four...
- Mualani: Huh, that's one more than before...
- Tuksina: Oh, hello! I'm guessing you're here to take on the main challenge at Wavey Bay? Unfortunately, we've run into a bit of a problem...
- Tuksina: But, um... Here, I can still take a group photo for you if you need one for your album...
- Mualani: No... That's not how it's supposed to go!
- Mualani: Photos are just a way to preserve memories, something to look back on and remember all the happy moments. What matters to us is the actual experience itself!
- Paimon: Well, these particular photos can be exchanged for prizes, but... Yeah, okay, you're right. Just snapping a photo and rushing off wouldn't feel right.
- Tuksina: I understand, and I'm very sorry about this. Please bear with us a little longer, we'll do our best to resolve the issue as soon as possible...
- Paimon: How long do you think it'll be?
- Tuksina: That's hard to say...
- Paimon: Oh, why's that?
- Mualani: Can we do anything to help?
- Tuksina: Um...
- Chasca: I noticed you don't have a lot of staff working on the other attractions in Wavey Bay, and the saurian employees seem pretty tired out.
- Chasca: I'm guessing it's because the main attraction ran into trouble, so everyone was temporarily reassigned to help with the repair work?
- Chasca: Relax, I get there are probably things you can't disclose. I'm not trying to make things harder for you.
- Chasca: In fact, I might be able to make your life easier. My companions are all very capable and happy to help out. They just finished testing Twilight Cruise and Asha Speedrun.
- Chasca: If you told us what the issue was, I bet we could help you solve it in no time.
- Paimon: Wow, what a tactful negotiator! Guess that's the hidden power of a Peacemaker...
- Mualani: Wait, Chasca... How did you notice all that? You weren't spying on us from up in some treetop somewhere, were you?
- Chasca: Does that really matter right now...?
- Bennett: What matters... is that we're really good helpers! So, if there's a problem, we're more than happy to do our part to fix it!
- Tuksina: Well, your observations were right, down to the detail about our saurians... I'm sorry, I shouldn't have tried to hide anything from you all.
- Tuksina: So basically...
- Tuksina: During testing, we realized that the Razzle-Dazzle Mega Slide's current paint job still leaves a LOT to be desired. Since it has to be sprayed from the Spiritway, it's a formidable challenge, to say the least.
- Tuksina: To avoid delaying the resort's official opening, we had to temporarily shut it down. Right now, we're working around the clock to get it completed.
- Mualani: Haha... You call that a challenge?
- Mualani: Tell me where the paint is, and I'll get it done in one go!
- (Mualani leaves to find paint)
- Tuksina: Huh? But... I don't see how you could possibly...
- Chasca: Ah, that's because you've never met her before. This is "Umoja" Mualani.
- Tuksina: Mualani... Wait a sec, THE Mualani!?
- Tuksina: You mean... one of the six heroes? THAT Mualani!?
- (During the challenge)
- Mualani: A gentle sky blue... The ideal backdrop for a nice, lazy stretch!
- Tuksina: Quick, activate the mechanism! Our hero's coming!
- Mualani: Wahhhh, down the gullet I go!
- Mualani: Whoa, the inside of this tunnel is stunning!
- Mualani: A dazzling golden yellow, just like a picture-perfect beach in summer!
- Mualani: Mint green, the perfect color to bring out the cool, refreshing moisture of the sea breeze!
- Mualani: Time to cover it in the lucky color I picked!
- Mualani: Gotta spread the luck around, hehe...
- Mualani: Woohoo, love me a good Spiritway!
- (After completing the challenge)
- Paimon: Great job, Mualani!
- Mualani: Phew... That, was, AWESOME! How was I, guys? Not bad, huh?
- Bennett: It looks incredible! A truly heroic effort, honestly!
- Bennett: Paimon told me all about you while you were out there. Everything you managed to accomplish is so amazing! Seriously, I feel all fired up just thinking about it!
- Mualani: Aww, thanks, haha! I'm so hyped right now, I feel like I could throw a hot spring party right here!
- Mualani: Oh, look! the [sic] staff from Wavey Bay are here too! After all that hard work, they must be looking forward to finally letting their hair down!
- Chasca: I think they've got other ideas, actually...
- Mualani: Huh? What do you mean?
- Tuksina: Mualani, Mualani! Could I get your autograph?
- Gaun: Me too, please!
- Iktomisaurus Chick: !
Looks like the cat's out of the bag.- Mualani: Uh oh, better take the group photo now, before the crowd gets here!
- Mualani: Okay, I wanna see big smiles and confident vibes! Think about the ocean, and your lucky colors...
- Mualani: Three, two, one...
- Paimon: Koholasaur!
-
- (The camera moves to show the group being observed by someone unknown from around a corner)
