Summary
Crisis - Dun Dun Dunnn! A Major Crisis!
While exploring Nasha Town, the Traveler and Paimon discover a notice from Ineffa, warning of an impending "crisis." They rush to the workshop and find Ineffa trapped by a magnetic crane, who revealed that Aino trapped her there after Ineffa tried to stop her. Aino’s newest robot companion, "Krum-Clank 70% Sweet," has been stolen, and in her anger, she plans to unleash her combat robot fleet in Nod-Krai to recover it.
The Traveler and Paimon free Ineffa by gathering hidden backup robots to disable the crane. They calm Aino with dessert, convince her not to act rashly, and offer to help. Since Nod-Krai lacks unified law enforcement, Ineffa suggests investigating Nasha Town for leads while the Traveler helps Aino clear workshop backorders. Aino, however, insists on handling the investigation herself, leaving Ineffa to guard the shop.
The group questions several contacts — Lyulka at Rossum Workshop, Tarno at the Voynich Guild outlet, a Fatui agent named Kudratov, and Urwa at Dori's shop — but finds no sign of the stolen robot. Just as hope wanes, Jahoda approaches and offers her help for free after some persuasion. She explains that because of Aino's reputation, no one would risk openly selling her work. According to Jahoda, the stolen bot is likely being trafficked through an illegal mechanical black market that only appears periodically, but the bad news is that the next opportunity to infiltrate it is in two days. Aino is visibly upset, but ultimately agrees to wait and regroup, determined to recover her lost companion with the Traveler and Paimon's help.
Clamor - Boong Boong Bwoooom! A Grand Plot!
The group investigates a black market to recover Aino's stolen robot, Krum-Clank. At the market, Aino confronts merchants, but they refuse to admit wrongdoing, and the front desk explains they don't intervene in client disputes. A notice reveals that the Frostmoon Scions currently hold the robot.
Asikko, a wealthy buyer, tries to bribe Aino to create another version of Krum-Clank, revealing that the robot's technology could be weaponized, but Aino refuses. The group then seeks help from Lauma, who investigates the situation. It is revealed that her people didn't steal the robot, but rather confiscated it from Treasure Hoarders.
Conflict arises when Frostmoon members suggest destroying the robot due to its potential danger, but Aino insists it's her friend, not a weapon. During a battle, black market merchants' recon bots try to take Krum-Clank as a diversion. The team defeats them, though the last bot escapes, and Aino almost gets hurt.
In the end, the misunderstanding is cleared, Lauma and her people acknowledge Aino's courage, and Jahoda deduces that Asikko is likely behind the theft and the black market’s scheme. The quest ends with the team preparing to track the real culprit.
Conclusion - Boom Boom Boooom! A Grand Battle!
Aino and her friends check in with Jahoda, who reports that her investigation into the suspect merchant Asikko yielded nothing — he has a clean record, and the real culprit has expertly covered their tracks. Aino decides she won't back down and is determined to retrieve her stolen bot, Krum-Clank, no matter what.
They receive a letter from Dori, offering help to track Krum-Clank via an expert, the visiting Melusine Sedile of the Marechaussee Phantom. Sedile uses her tracking skills to follow clues, including footprints and sand, leading them to Maroon Basin, the thief's hideout.
At the camp, Aino leads an assault with her robots, including the upgraded Zip-Zap War-Bot, confronting Eustachy, the black-market mastermind behind the theft. Eustachy attempts to weaponize Krum-Clank, but his hired Fontainian engineer discovers that the bot's core is designed to operate only with desserts, making it unsuitable as a weapon.
After a battle, reinforcements arrive to help Aino, and Krum-Clank's core is safely returned. Eustachy escapes, but the group secures the bot and celebrates their victory, returning home with plans for dessert.
Epilogue - Ding Ding Dinggg! A Great Feast!
After Krum-Clank is safely returned, the Traveler and Paimon visit Aino, Ineffa, and Jahoda to enjoy desserts baked by the robot. Ineffa explains that Aino's love for robotics comes from a combination of genius, passion, and loneliness — her robots aren't just creations, they're her family. Despite living in the cutthroat environment of Nod-Krai, Aino uses her technology to bring joy rather than power, making her a perfect fit for the city's unique characteristics. The quest ends with everyone enjoying the desserts, while optional dialogue hints at bureaucratic issues at the Kuuvahki Experimental Design Bureau.
