Start the quest by approaching the snow giant near a house by the sea after waiting XX in-game hours.

Follow the snow giant
Free the giant from his chains
- Destroy the two chains
Follow the snow giant
Free the giant from his chains
- Defeat enemies:
  - Glacial Warden ×1
  - Chimeric Armored Beast ×2
- Destroy three chains
Follow the snow giant
Free the giant from his chains
- Destroy six chains
  - Defeat enemies to break one of the chain's seal:
    - Chimeric Horned Bear ×1
    - Chimeric Winged Elephant ×2
  - Defeat enemies to break another seal:
    - Glacial Warden ×1
    - Glaciomancer ×2
Clear the Shadow Realm in this place
Approach the lighthouse

Gameplay Notes

During steps 5-10, the player is in the Third-Person Shooter Mode.
Completing this quest unlocks the most northern Teleport Waypoint of Everfrozen Earth.

Dialogue

Quest Description

The giant once bound by chains upon the tundra has appeared by the sea... Where does he intend to go?

(Approach the starting location): Paimon: Hey! It's that big fella! The one we saw all tied up with those four weird chains earlier...; Paimon: But what's he doing here?

(Approach the snow giant)

Paimon: Hmm... Yeah. That's the big guy from before, though we didn't get a good look at him before... And to be honest, he doesn't look much like a giant Snegovik...

Paimon: Paimon didn't know they could grow that huge.

Something might have gone haywire somehow...

Paimon: Haywire, you say... So were those chains meant to keep him from losing control? Still, it's so sad that he's had to live like that.

It would be nice if you could grow up like that, Paimon.

Paimon: That big? Nah, Paimon's gonna pass. How much would she need to eat to fill her tummy if she got that huge?

Paimon: ...Yeah. Yikes.

Paimon: Also, does... does he want to go out to sea?

Paimon: Let's follow him, shall we, (‍‍)?

It is quite concerning, yes...

Paimon: Hmm. Big Guy over there hasn't gone around causing any damage... Kinda weird, really. Where does he want to go, exactly?

(The snow giant starts moving and a Shadow Realm opens up)

Cold Voice: Your power has gone out of control, my friend. You... will keep expanding, and will transform into snow foam amidst the blizzard...

Cold Voice: As for these chains... Forgive me, but they are the only way for you to live on.

Gentle Male Voice: Pavlina...

Paimon: Ah, chains have appeared in the Shadow Realm and trapped that big guy!

(After shooting the two chains): Paimon: Now he can continue onward!

(Continue onward): Gentle Male Voice: I... I've made a promise. I cannot just...; Gentle Male Voice: She will be there. I must go see her, even if it is... for the last time...

(The giant gets trapped again): Paimon: Ah, that big guy's been trapped again...; Paimon: Huh? What's with all those guys blocking his way?

(After defeating the enemies)
(The shadow appears and breaks its sea)

(After destroying the three chains): Paimon: Nice, these chains have also been taken care of!; Paimon: Is the place he's trying to get to... Is that a lighthouse?; Paimon: But was this lighthouse bobbing on the sea's surface before? Paimon can't remember...

(The giant gets trapped again): Paimon: Quick, let's get rid of those chains, just like before!

(Defeat the enemies at the chains)
(The shadow appears again and breaks the seal on the chains)

(After breaking the six chains): Paimon: Just break that, and we should be home free!

(Leave the Shadow Realm)

(The Shadow Realm disappears and the giant walks toward a lighthouse)

(There he kneels down and reaches out his hand)

(The camera focuses on the lighthouse lamp)

(Quest completes)
