Hollow Special Operations Section 6, abbreviated as H.S.O.S.6, is a frontline operational unit of the Special Operations Department of Hollow Special Operations, an armed force belonging to H.A.N.D.. It was single-handedly established by Hoshimi Miyabi.

Description

Hollow Special Operations is H.A.N.D.'s armed force dedicated to the response to Hollow disasters. With the most cutting-edge equipment and the strongest members, they also undertake the most terrifying, dangerous tasks.

They can be found in high-risk Hollow-related events and highly sensitive missions involving H.A.N.D.

Section 6 is one of the newly established frontline operational units of the Special Operations Department. Like other disciplined units under H.A.N.D., Section 6 is made up of a number of highly talented individuals. However, with Miyabi at its core, Section 6 is unique in every sense of the word.

Overview

Hollow Special Operations Section 6 (or just Section 6) is the most recently established unit of H.S.O, the armed subsidiary of H.A.N.D. Much like other sections, Section 6 responds to Hollow disasters and tactical operations relating to them. Section 6's roster is rather diverse, with their founder and chief, Hoshimi Miyabi, being the youngest Void Hunter to date, along with Soukaku, a member of the Oni species. Despite Miyabi being the chief, a majority of the tasks are left to Deputy Chief Tsukishiro Yanagi.

Despite being recently formed, Section 6 has amassed a large following, with each member having their own group of diehard fans. They also have a workplace rivalry with Section 5.^[1]

Section 6's agents have various references to Japanese culture and belief.
- Miyabi's design resembles a kitsune, a fox creature from Japanese folklore. She also wears an outfit that resembles a miko, a Japanese shrine maiden.
- Soukaku is an oni with references to Fūjin, the Japanese god of wind, namely the kanji on her mask and originally having the scrapped wind affinity. Her weapon resembles a Japanese war flag and a gunbai, a fan used by samurai.
- Yanagi's weapon resemble a tactical variant of a naginata, a form of polearm famously used by Onna-musha, female warriors trained in the art of combat to protect their families during war.
- Harumasa's attire bears a resemblance to modern Japanese archery clothing, and his weapon consists of two short swords (likely wakizashi) that combine at the ends to form a longbow.
According to the game developers, one of the main design themes of Section 6 is office workers.^[2]
