Overview

Aidonia is known as the snow-dusted kingdom of death, located in Amphoreus. It was established by Eleusis, the leader of the Ascetics, who sought an end to the endless cycles of life. This eerie city is deeply connected to the faith of Thanatos, one of 12 titans of Amphoreus. The Aidonians built colossal monuments on the snow plains to honor the Holy Maiden who brings them the blessing of death, which whom is currently Castorice.^[3]

• Aidonia (Greek: Αηδόνια Aïdónia, "nightingales") shares its name with several real-world Greek villages, though the in-game location likely comes from the Ancient Greek epithet Ἀϊδωνια Aïdōnia, "of Hades," derived from a feminization of Ἀϊδωνεύς Aïdōneús, a poetic variation on Hades' name.
