Last updated 2026-08-22
Bashmu is a commission-exclusive NPC who first appeared during Phaethon's Story: A Sleepwalker's Confession.
Profile
Bashmu is a powerful Ethereal that inhabits the Scamall Hollow. It is identified as an Enchainer larva, and thus has somewhat higher intelligence than other Ethereals, and is driven to consume Karma Cores in order to further its development into an Enchainer.
History
Immediately after Girtablullu escaped its fight with Phaethon, Pyrois, Remielle and Norma, Bashmu entered the fray and attacked the group. Remielle initially held it back but ultimtely they were unable to contend with it, and resorted to escaping instead.
Bashmu pursued them continuously, and was able to use Singularity Leakages to pull the group back after they used said Singularities to escape. After several narrow escapes, Remielle was able to hold it back at the entrance of a Fissure, with Phaethon (being helped by Helios) using their ether manipulation abilities to force the giant Ethereal back through the Fissure, sealing it behind them.
After Remielle and Pyrois defeated Girtablullu and saved Dracaene, Bashmu appeared, taking Girtablullu's remains and Dracaene's Karma Core by devouring it before flying away through a fissure.
