Eroding Avatar of Lavas are Elite Enemies that are part of the Avatars of Lava enemy group and the Mystical Beasts family.

A Local Legend Eroding Avatar of Lava, "Infinitesimal" — A Fiery Stone Gathers No Moss, can be found in the Ancient Sacred Mountain, Natlan, just west of its easternmost Waypoint. Accessing the Local Legend for the first time requires the player to progress through the World Quest Nahuatzin's Leap.

Erosion
When the Eroding Avatar of Lava is hit by a Pyro attack, it will gain 1% Fury for every 1 GU of Pyro it applies. When the Fury bar reaches 20%, 40%, and 60%, it will take True Physical DMG equal to 11.25%, 9%, and 6.75% of its Max HP respectively. When the Fury bar is full, the Eroding Avatar of Lava is automatically defeated. Local Legend: This ability is disabled.

Local Legend-Exclusive

Double Protection
Possesses both a Geo Ward and a Fury bar. The Ward is weakest against Geo and Blunt Attacks, and the Fury bar will fill upon being hit by Pyro. While the Ward is active, it is immune to all DMG. If the Ward is depleted but the Fury bar is not filled, all of the boss' RES is increased by 120%. Once the fury bar is filled, the RES gain is removed. The boss will maintain a weakened state for a moderate duration before reapplying both Ward and Fury protection.

Tutorial

Eroding Avatar of Lava: A strange monster that needs to constantly absorb thermal energy to survive. However, it seems to damage itself should it absorb too much. After you use Pyro attacks to cause it to fully enter an Overburn state, it will rapidly disintegrate.

A strange monster that must continually absorb heat to stay in an active state.
The ancient civilization used many different types of golden designs to drive the flow of phlogiston, allowing massive constructs and magnificent cities to operate under the wisdom of the golden patterns. It is said that in addition to machines with fixed structures, the creatures known as Avatars of Lava are actually badly damaged lifeforms that were once created in the same way. However, after the flames of the sacred mountain were extinguished, most of them lost their sense of purpose and direction.
