Hu Tao's antics and eccentricity belie her role as the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor and her talent as a poet. Nevertheless, she treats the parlor's operations with utmost importance, and holds funeral ceremonies with the highest dignity and solemnity.

Hu Tao consumes a set portion of her HP to knock the surrounding enemies back and enter the Paramita Papilio state.

Paramita Papilio

Increases Hu Tao's ATK based on her Max HP at the time of entering this state. ATK Bonus gained this way cannot exceed 400% of Hu Tao's Base ATK.
Converts attack DMG to Pyro DMG, which cannot be overridden by any other elemental infusion.
Charged Attacks apply the Blood Blossom effect to the enemies hit.
Increases Hu Tao's resistance to interruption.

Blood Blossom
Enemies affected by Blood Blossom will take Pyro DMG every 4s. This DMG is considered Elemental Skill DMG.
Each enemy can be affected by only one Blood Blossom effect at a time, and its duration may only be refreshed by Hu Tao herself.

Paramita Papilio ends when its duration is over, or Hu Tao has left the battlefield or fallen.

When a converted attack hits at least one enemy, it generates 2.5 Elemental Particles.
- This particle generation has a cooldown of ~5 seconds.
- Therefore, it can generate a total of 4–6 Elemental Particles through its whole duration.
- Converted Plunging Attacks do not generate particles.
While the Paramita Papilio state is active, Hu Tao does not step back before charging forward. This makes her Charged Attacks under this state faster and travel further from her starting position.
This skill's activation produces a damageless 0U Pyro attack around Hu Tao.
No HP will be consumed if Hu Tao has exactly 1 HP left when activating the skill.
The Paramita Papilio State does not expire during the animation of a Charged Attack.

Upon striking the enemy, regenerates a percentage of Hu Tao's Max HP. This effect can be triggered up to 5 times, based on the number of enemies hit.
If Hu Tao's HP is below or equal to 50% when the enemy is hit, both the DMG and HP Regeneration are increased.

This Elemental Burst drains energy later than most others.^[7]

Character Description

When Hu Tao casts her Elemental Skill, she consumes a set proportion of HP and enters into Paramita Papilio state, in which her Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, and Plunging Attacks deal Pyro DMG.
In Paramita Papilio state, Hu Tao's Charged Attacks apply the Blood Blossom status to opponents, periodically dealing Pyro DMG.
When Hu Tao casts her Elemental Burst, hitting opponents restores her HP. When Hu Tao's HP is less than 50%, hits deal increased DMG and restore more HP.

Additionally, for the next 10s, all of her Elemental and Physical RES is increased by 200%, her CRIT Rate is increased by 100%, and her resistance to interruption is greatly increased. This effect triggers automatically when Hu Tao has 1 HP left. Can only occur once every 60s.

Each Constellation activation requires one Hu Tao's Stella Fortuna.

Gameplay Notes

Hu Tao has a unique sprint that allows her to briefly pass through smaller enemies. This only applies to the initial sprint and does not apply to the continuous run.
- Visually, Hu Tao disappears, and butterflies appear. These butterflies are normally white and turn red if she is in the Paramita Papilio state.
