Kamisato Ayato^{[Note 1]} (Japanese: 神里綾人 Kamisato Ayato) is a playable Hydro character in Genshin Impact.

He is the current head of the Kamisato Clan, the older brother of Kamisato Ayaka, and the Yashiro Commissioner. Resourceful and cunning, Ayato keeps a lower profile than his sister and focuses on government affairs in the Commission.

Kamisato Ayato shifts positions and enters the Takimeguri Kanka state.
After this shift, he will leave a watery illusion at his original location. After it is formed, the watery illusion will explode if opponents are nearby or after its duration ends, dealing AoE Hydro DMG.

Takimeguri Kanka
In this state, Kamisato Ayato uses his Shunsuiken to engage in blindingly fast attacks, causing DMG from his Normal Attacks to be converted into AoE Hydro DMG. This cannot be overridden.
It also has the following properties:

After a Shunsuiken attack hits an opponent, it will grant Ayato the Namisen effect, increasing the DMG dealt by Shunsuiken based on Ayato's current Max HP. The initial maximum number of Namisen stacks is 4, and 1 stack can be gained through Shunsuiken every 0.1s. This effect will be dispelled when Takimeguri Kanka ends.
Kamisato Ayato's resistance to interruption is increased.
Unable to use Charged or Plunging Attacks.

Takimeguri Kanka will be cleared when Ayato leaves the field. Using Kamisato Art: Kyouka again while in the Takimeguri Kanka state will reset and replace the pre-existing state.

When a converted attack hits at least one enemy, it generates 1.5 Elemental Particles.
- This particle generation has a cooldown of ~2.5 seconds, so can be triggered up to 3 times per use of the skill.
- Therefore, it can generate a total of 3–6 Elemental Particles (4.5 on average) throughout its entire duration.
Without any attack speed buffs, Ayato can perform up to 15 Attacks over the Kamisato Art: Kyouka duration.
Holding the Normal Attack button during the Takimeguri Kanka state will make Ayato release Shunsuiken attacks continuously until the player stops holding the button, or until the duration of Takimeguri Kanka ends.
Water Illusion DMG will snapshot Ayato's stats on cast and will not be affected by changes in their stats that occur afterwards.
- However, the Shunsuiken attacks do not snapshot.
The watery illusion will also explode if certain non-enemy entities, such as fires, are nearby.
Ayato can hit enemies with Shunsuiken attacks and stops moving closer to enemies with each slash while he is slightly out of normal melee range. This means that Ayato may not move close enough to enemies for them to be damaged by certain Talents from other characters that deal damage near the active character, such as Qiqi's Adeptus Art: Herald of Frost and Kaeya's Glacial Waltz.
The number of Namisen stacks Kamisato Ayato possesses is indicated by the blue indicator next to him.

Passive Effects

Passive Talent 1, Kamisato Art: Mine Wo Matoishi Kiyotaki: Grants Ayato 2 Namisen stacks when casting this skill and the maximum number of Namisen stacks when the watery illusion explodes.

Constellation Level 1, Kyouka Fuushi: "Shunsuiken DMG is increased by 40% against opponents with 50% HP or less."
Constellation Level 2, World Source: "Namisen's maximum stack count is increased to 5. When Kamisato Ayato has at least 3 Namisen stacks, his Max HP is increased by 50%."
Constellation Level 3, To Admire the Flowers: Increases this talent's level by 3, up to a maximum of 15.
Constellation Level 6, Boundless Origin: "After using Kamisato Art: Kyouka, Ayato's next Shunsuiken attack will create 2 extra Shunsuiken strikes when they hit opponents, each one dealing 450% of Ayato's ATK as DMG. Both these Shunsuiken attacks will not be affected by Namisen."

Unveils a garden of purity that silences the cacophony within.
While this space exists, Bloomwater Blades will constantly rain down and attack opponents within its AoE, dealing Hydro DMG and increasing the Normal Attack DMG of characters within.

35 Bloomwater Blades will be created throughout the ability's entire duration.
Each Bloomwater Blade targets a random opponent in the area that has not been targeted by the last 2 or 3 Bloomwater Blades.
- If all opponents in the area have been targeted by the last 2 or 3 Bloomwater Blades, or if there are no opponents in the area, then the next Bloomwater Blade strikes somewhere random in the area.
- Enemies who are incidentally hit by a Bloomwater Blade that did not target them are considered to have not been targeted.
- There is a short delay before the Bloomwater Blade strikes, so enemies who are targeted may not be hit if they move away far enough in that period.
Bloomwater Blade DMG will snapshot Kamisato Ayato's stats near the end of casting animation and will not be affected by changes in his stats that occur afterwards.

Character Description

Kamisato Ayato's Elemental Skill will leave a watery illusion behind which will confuse opponents, and he will enter the Takimeguri Kanka state. During this time, he can use Shunsuiken, dealing AoE Hydro DMG with each attack.
Ayato's Elemental Burst will unleash a garden of purity in which Bloomwater Blades will rain down and attack opponents within its AoE. This will increase the Normal Attack DMG of characters within that AoE.
