Kaedehara Kazuha^{[Note 1]} (Japanese: 楓原万葉 Kaedehara Kazuha) is a playable Anemo character in Genshin Impact.

A wandering samurai of the once-famed Kaedehara Clan with an ability to read the sounds of nature, Kazuha is a temporary crewmember of The Crux. Despite being burdened by the many happenings of his past, he still maintains an easygoing disposition.

Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes.

Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact. If this Plunging Attack is triggered by Chihayaburu, it will be converted to Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan.

Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan
When a Plunging Attack is performed using the effects of the Elemental Skill Chihayaburu, Plunging Attack DMG is converted to Anemo DMG and will create a small wind tunnel via a secret blade technique that pulls in nearby objects and opponents.

After using Chihayaburu, Kazuha's Plunging Attack DMG will be converted to Anemo DMG for if used within 10 seconds and before he reaches the ground.
- This Plunging Attack still counts as a Blunt Attack, thus making Chihayaburu an effective means of breaking Geo Shields, Ores and Geo Constructs.
- It will also trigger Shatter on Frozen Enemies.
- Since Midare Ranzan is an infused Plunging Attack, it cannot chop trees for wood.
- Unlike normal Plunging Attacks, Midare Ranzan does not have a minimum height requirement, meaning it can be performed even if Kazuha is extremely close to the ground.
While the Vacuum Field created by the Plunging Attack is present, it will continuously apply the Struggle state to enemies whose weight is no higher than 100, and whose level is no higher than 20 levels above Kazuha's.

Unleashes a secret technique as fierce as the rushing wind that pulls objects and opponents towards Kazuha's current position before launching opponents within the AoE, dealing Anemo DMG and lifting Kazuha into the air on a rushing gust of wind.
Within 10s of remaining airborne after casting Chihayaburu, Kazuha can unleash a powerful Plunging Attack known as Midare Ranzan.

Charges up before unleashing greater Anemo DMG over a larger AoE than (‍Press‍/‍TapText for touch screen‍) Mode.

Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan
When a Plunging Attack is performed using the effects of the Elemental Skill Chihayaburu, Plunging Attack DMG is converted to Anemo DMG. On landing, Kazuha creates a small wind tunnel via a secret blade technique that pulls in nearby objects and opponents.
Midare Ranzan's DMG is considered Plunging Attack DMG.

When this skill hits at least one enemy, it generates 3 Elemental Particles if it was pressed and 4 if it was held.
When Chihayaburu is cast, it will also make a slight beeping/chiming sound.
While airborne (if Kazuha has not yet Plunging Attacked or landed on the ground), a special wind will encircle Kazuha, indicating the Midare Ranzan effect, in the color of the absorbed element, if any.
- If Soumon Swordsmanship is unlocked, the wind will be the color of the absorbed element.

Passive Effects

Passive Talent 2, Soumon Swordsmanship: "If Chihayaburu comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro when cast, Chihayaburu will absorb that element and if Plunging Attack: Midare Ranzan is used before the effect expires, it will deal an additional 200% ATK of the absorbed elemental type as DMG. This will be considered Plunging Attack DMG. Elemental Absorption may only occur once per use of Chihayaburu."

Constellation Effects

Constellation Level 1, Scarlet Hills: "Decreases Chihayaburu's CD by 10%. Using Kazuha Slash resets the CD of Chihayaburu."
Constellation Level 3, Maple Monogatari: Increases this talent's level by 3, up to a maximum of 15.
Constellation Level 4, Oozora Genpou: When Kazuha's energy is lower than 45, he regenerates 3 energy upon pressing Chihayaburu and 4 energy upon holding Chihayaburu, and he also regenerates 2 energy per second while gliding.
Constellation Level 6, Crimson Momiji: "After using Chihayaburu or Kazuha Slash, Kaedehara Kazuha gains an Anemo Infusion for 5s. Additionally, each point of Elemental Mastery will increase the DMG dealt by Kaedehara Kazuha's Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks by 0.2%."

The signature technique of Kazuha's self-styled bladework — a single slash that strikes with the force of the first winds of autumn, dealing AoE Anemo DMG.
The blade's passage will leave behind a field named "Autumn Whirlwind" that periodically deals AoE Anemo DMG to opponents within its range.

Elemental Absorption
If Autumn Whirlwind comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro, it will deal additional elemental DMG of that type.
Elemental Absorption may only occur once per use.

The Autumn Whirlwind field deals DMG every 2 seconds for a total of 5 times.
The element that Kazuha is affected with can serve as a source for absorption.

Constellation Level 1, Scarlet Hills: Resets the cooldown of Chihayaburu upon use of Kazuha Slash.

Upon triggering a Swirl or Stellar Swirl reaction, Kaedehara Kazuha will grant all party members a 0.04% Elemental DMG Bonus to the element absorbed by Swirl for every point of Elemental Mastery he has for 8s. Bonuses for different elements obtained through this method can co-exist.

While this buff is active, affected characters will have the Attack icon displayed next to their HP bars.
It can grant multiple Elemental DMG Bonuses at once (for Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro) if multiple elements are swirled.
In accordance with the established interaction between percentage-based stat conferrals, Poetics of Fuubutsu ignores all Elemental Mastery bonuses that scale off of someone else's stat, such as Sucrose's Ascension Talent Mollis Favonius.^[6]
Kazuha can trigger this buff off-field.

Character Description

Kaedehara Kazuha can use his Elemental Skill to pull opponents and objects in and take to the air before executing his unique Plunging attack "Midare Ranzan" to deal Anemo DMG and generate a wind tunnel that pulls opponents in.
His Elemental Skill has a Press Mode and a Hold Mode. The former can be executed in mid-air, while the latter expands the skill's AoE.
His Elemental Burst, Kazuha Slash, leaves a field known as Autumn Whirlwind behind that deals Anemo DMG to opponents at set intervals."
