Vesna Strivozha is a Vila from Snezhnaya who serves as the Commander of the Druzhna.^[7] She is considered the Tsaritsa's right hand and is often by her side.^[8]

Personality

Vesna is shown to be quite carefree and relaxed in spite of her position, as shown when she overslept and disembarked from Rankova Zorya while leaving all of her belongings on said train. She also has a habit of pranking others. Odette remarks that she is far more cunning than her personality and appearance suggests.

Appearance

Vesna's appearance is that of a medium female user or a pale young woman with pointy ears resembling Faes and turquoise eyes. Her hair is light yellow and wavy, with a drill ponytail at her back, she also has two hair ringlets in front of her ears that reach her shoulders. She possesses four Fae wings, with two set around her shoulders and the other around her ribs.

Vesna wears a turquoise bow clipped in her ponytail, a crown-like headband in around her forehead, a teal-and-white dress with gold trim, a fitted bodice, layered skirt panels, detached cape-like sleeves, and ornate armor details. An Anemo Stellar Linchpin is seen around her shoulder, and she is also seen to be wielding a scepter.

History

Vesna is a Vila descended from the Snowland Fae house of Strivozha. She has served the Tsaritsa for an undisclosed amount of time as the Commander of the Druzhna.^[1]

When the Traveler arrived at inner Snezhnaya to meet with the Tsaritsa, the Archon had already left Snezhnograd alongside Vesna and Danica to handle a monster to the east that had been deemed a number one priority as its endless snowstorms had caused significant damage to the nation. They had only just returned after Ronova had left Armory Palace, where Vesna was shown greeting the people that had assembled to see the Archon.^[9]

Sometime afterwards, the Druzhna began to hold a special recruitment program to hire volunteers for Shadow Realm expeditions to make up for a shortage in manpower. After being informed of the program's results by Yarovaya, Vesna noticed that one of the recent recruits was the Traveler.^[10]

• Vesna (as '???') can show up at random at Rankova Zorya after completing reconstruction and The Korolevskiy Theater after watching Odette's ballet.

Etymology

• Vesna (Cyrillic: Весна) means "spring".
  • Vesna is a mythological female character associated with youth and springtime in later Slavic mythology, particularly in the South Slavs. Along with her male companion Vesnik, she was associated with rituals conducted in rural areas during springtime.
• The surname Strivozha may be a reference to the Eastern Slavic deity Stribog, whose functions are unknown but most often interpreted as a wind deity who distributes wealth.
