Armory Palace

Last updated 2026-09-04

The Royal Armory Palace, usually simply called the Armory Palace, is a Snezhnayan institution specializing in the development of weapons. It is managed by Sandrone[1] and located deep within Glupov.

The Special Assignments Battalion is a division of the Armory Palace Royal Grenadier Guards, tasked with protecting important figures like Mitya — and keeping tabs on them.[2]

Overview

Currently, the Armory Palace is best-known for its development of Landcruisers, which were developed in conjunction with the Fatui and specifically, the Kuuvahki Experimental Design Bureau.[3][4] The Armory Palace's administrative system is allegedly rather complex.[5] Two researchers from the Armory Palace, Preobrazhensky and Anton Zarkovich Karnatsky, were tasked with researching kuuvahki in Nothing Passage. Their rivalry resulted in disaster, killing not only themselves but also the entire Fatui Sixth Company sans Smirnova.[6] The Traveler finds the aftermath of this disastrous incident and briefly encounters the mysterious entity during the World Quest Series Colors of Emptiness.

The Armory Palace is located within Glupov. During the Archon Quest Mistilteinn in Chapter VII: Act II - Wraith's Nocturne, the Traveler and Odette infiltrate the Armory Palace to find Paimon and Pierro, who are located at Project Mistilteinn's research and development site deep underground. Just as they are about to enter, Ronova's Curse of Death activates on everyone in the area, confirming Mitya's hypothesis: that she is preventing the project's personnel from making new technological breakthroughs on their anti-Celestia weapon. In light of this, Project Mistilteinn and Project Stuzha — which was conserving energy to divert towards Project Mistilteinn — are placed on hold until Ronova's threat has been eliminated.[7]

Trivia

  • The name is a reference to the Kremlin Armoury, the oldest museum in Moscow that originated as the royal arsenal in 1508.
