A Child's Dream is an area in Penacony's Dreamscape, unlocked after completing the Trailblaze Mission Gentleness, the Name of Nocturne in the chapter The Sound and the Fury.

(Standard dialogue): Clock; A watch that swirls like a vortex — the time it tells is also a jumbled chaos.; A chaotic timepiece, strange and absurd, just like the disordered Dreamscape in which it exists.; When will you rouse from this strange dream? Just like you, the clock wishes to know the answer.

Desk

(Standard dialogue): Investigate; A corner surrounded by clocks big and small, of all strange shapes and sizes. Perhaps it was once the Watchmaker's workbench.; Piles of clutter are strewn across the office desk. A Pepeshi person would have found it hard to poke their head through the mess.; No matter who the master of this table was, he was definitely not a kempt person.

Tea Table

(Standard dialogue): Tea Table; Afternoon tea for two — who could they have been? Where have they gone?; The teacups on the table are empty, the liquid inside long dried. Looks like they have been abandoned for a long time.; The Xianzhou has a saying: The tea cools when the person leaves. It's a perfect proverb for this scene.

It's said that this phenomenon is the same for someone who has just woken up from a dream.; You try to pick up a nearby pen to write a few notes on the paper but realize that you can't even write in any legible language.

Clock and Drawer

(Standard dialogue): Investigate; The clock on the drawer is permanently pointing at a certain moment, and you're not sure what it means.; The Dreamscape is a projection of reality's impression, and to this dream's master, the impression of the drawer isn't deep.; You will not find anything of value here. Save your energy.

Fountain

(Investigate the fountain horizontally): Investigate; Everything is upside down: Waterfalls flow upwards, the pod of whales rushing towards the breach in the Dreamscape, as if trying to dive into the abyss, but at the same time chasing after the light.

Floating Chair

Looks like it's been permanently stuck here.; A pity there are no ladders around here, or you might really think of a way to sit in it — being suspended in midair must feel really exciting.; If you were feeling idle, you could even use this chair to give your biceps a workout.

(Standard dialogue): Investigate; Many books are on display in the shelf, in which most of them are written fantastical fairy tales.; There isn't a speck of dust on the books on the shelf, but you're sure they have not been touched in a long time.

Gift Box

(Standard dialogue): Gift Box; An unopened box, inside it stashed with all the best gifts that a child could think of.; A present prepared for the celebration of a certain event. This should have belonged to a fun party.; "You can't open this box!" Just as your fingers brush against the present, a frail wail explodes in your mind, and then it is gone.

TV

(Standard dialogue): TV; A television set that can't be turned on. The pitch-black screen resembles the glazed eyes of a dying person, hollowly reflecting the splendid colors and light around it.; It will never again show the programs that children loved.; Two listless balloons are secured to the television set — possible remnants of some party.

(Standard dialogue): Book Pile; Books are humanity's staircase to progress. Here, they have literally become a staircase that leads upwards.; The books could have either been casually stacked here, or simply discarded — for some reason, the word "discarded" makes one feel particularly sad in this dream.; The writing in the books is akin to this Dreamscape itself: Chaotic, disorderly, and incomprehensible.

Table (Watchmaker's Room)

(Standard dialogue): Table; A long table brimming with artistic flair. From the looks of this house's layout and library, its master had great taste.; In some past moment, something must have happened here. Perhaps a separation, or some other tragically tearful scene.; You casually pull out a book from a pile, and near the cover title, something is written haphazardly: "Existence and Watch Repair Techniques."
