Bangboo Boo-Nappers

The Bangboo Boo-Nappers are a gang introduced in Qingyi's Agent Story "The Case of a Missing Bangboo". They are known for kidnapping Bangboo and selling their components for profit after disassembling them, and the group is finally busted by Qingyi.

History

The Bangboo Boo-Nappers kidnapped Teddy the Sharkboo, a close friend to a girl named Holly, who reported the case to Qingyi, but Holly's father said that it would be bothering the officers for such a small case, and bought a new Sharkboo, asking Qingyi to hand it over. Qingyi replaced some of the components with old models' ones. However, Holly still recognized that the Sharkboo was not Teddy. Qingyi had applied for support from Public Security in order to find Teddy, but since Teddy is not a human, Public Security could not process the case as a missing person case and refused to provide Qingyi with additional support.

Qingyi had to go into the Hollow alone, and bumped into Phaethon, who offered to guide the way with Eous without letting her know their true identities. During the investigation, Bingbong showed up and used ether solution spray on Eous, to paralyze Eous's functions. Qingyi had to synchronize with HDD System to find the path in the Hollow, at the cost of sharing Ether corruption with Eous. Qingyi threatened Bingbong to confess to Public Security.

Qingyi soon found all the Bangboo kidnapped by Bangboo Boo-Nappers. Eventually, she also found Teddy after defeating elite gangsters from the group. Qingyi tried to bring all of the Bangboo out of the Hollow, including Eous and Teddy, but collapsed due to corruption, though ended up being saved by Zhu Yuan, contacted by Phaethon in advance.
