Krampus Compliance Authority

The Krampus Compliance Authority, or Krampus for short, is a faction in Zenless Zone Zero. It is a subsidiary of TOPS.
Overview
Despite being part of The Outstanding Paragons Alliance, Krampus is not a company, but instead a self-regulatory organization for TOPS. Krampus's goal is to watch over the ongoings of the TOPS Round Table, seeing if all actions, no matter how cutthroat or morally grey, follow the core rules and interests of the alliance. If these rules are broken, Krampus is sent to interfere and punish the rule-breakers.[1]
Krampus's members are known as 'Judges' each are notably unique, with no uniform-code or shared traits. From a customer service representative for TOPS, an Intelligent Construct that runs a martial-arts school, and a former-Sweeper, turned executioner as a form of redemption.
Krampus has gained a fearful reputation in TOPS, with one its members, Zhao, being seen and often called a "disaster" by employees working for corrupt companies in the alliance.[2]
The current Boss of Krampus serves as a member of the TOPS Round Table. Very little is known about her, but she commands the respect of all of its members, who very rarely, if ever, refuse her orders.

Etymology
- Krampus is a mythological figure from Alpine folklore. He is seen as the evil counterpart to Saint Nicholas, another legendary figure that inspired Santa Claus. Whilst Saint Nicholas would visit the houses of good children and leave gifts, Krampus would punish the naughty children by usually spanking them with birch branches or, even worse, condemning them to the underworld.
- This name fits in with Krampus Compliance Authority's goal of punishing rulebreakers within TOPS.
- The faction's primary release during the latter-half of November and all of December may also signify its connection to the Christmas season.
- Each member of the Krampus Compliance Authority takes inspiration from various kinds of circus performers and illusionists:
- Zhao's Thiren species is likely a reference to the traditional hat-trick, which usually produces a rabbit from a top hat.
- Dialyn is likely inspired by hoop dancers.
- Banyue is likely a reference to ringleaders and rolling globe jugglers.
- Promeia is based on escape artists, such as the famous Harry Houdini.
