Gameplay Notes
- During steps 3-8, the player is in a Special Story Mode.
- During steps 7-8, the party is limited to Lohen as a Trial Character.
- Lohen will recover ~3% of Max HP whenever he lands a hit. If he receives lethal damage, he will instead remain at 1 HP, and the following message will appear: An unyielding fighting spirit keeps Lohen standing tall!
- During step 8, Lohen's ATK is greatly increased after he crushes the vial of serum. At World Level 9, his ATK is increased to a total of 4,328.[verification needed] At the same time, Lohen's HP will be continuously drained at a rate of ~2% of Max HP per second until it reaches ~2% of Max HP.

- Lohen?: Carving up Abyssal power, seeking aid from a coven of witches, leaning on divine favor...
- (Ursa conjures up images of Rerir, Varka, and Venti, respectively)

- Lohen: ...It's humanity's arrogance and stupidity that invite destruction.
- (Lohen draws his knife and plunges it into his own hand)

- Lohen: *panting* Not so talkative now, hmm?
- Lohen?: You embrace mediocrity!? You spurn my counsel!?
- Lohen: What I desire, I'll take with my own two hands. If I accept your guidance, "I" wouldn't be the master of that power now, would I?
- Lohen: Begone. I have no need for power I don't control.
- (With great effort, Lohen expunges Ursa's power from his body)
- Lohen?: No...!
- (Exhausted from his ordeal, Lohen passes out on the ground)
- Paimon: Lohen! Wake up! Lohen!
- (Traveler): ...Lohen!
- Lohen: ...Argh. Are you trying to burst my eardrums? I was just taking a quick nap. That fight took a lot out of me, you know?
- Varka: Heh. Never thought I'd hear you say something like that.
- In your hand...
- Is that the Ursa serum?
- Lohen: I didn't inject myself with it. Just used it to attract the monsters. Can't exactly deal with out-of-control monsters when I'm going berserk myself, can I?
- Lohen: Plus, wouldn't want you finishing off Ursa just to turn around and have to deal with me.
