Frozen Solid Fishing Spot (unofficial name) is a Hidden Exploration Objective that takes place in Volkodlak Tundra, Snezhnaya.
Steps
- Talk to Linov
- Unfreeze the fishing point
- Use a Pyro character to unfreeze the fishing point nearby Linov's camp. Almost all the ice must be unfrozen to complete this step.
- Talk to Linov
Gameplay Notes
- Completing this Hidden Exploration Objective unlocks a Fishing Point and awards a
Common Chest.
Dialogue
- (Talk to ??? sitting inside a camp)
- ???: Oh... You two wouldn't happen to be here to fish at this fishing spot too, would you?
- ???: I'm afraid you're going to have come all this way for nothing, though.
- Paimon: Huh...? Who are you? And why is there a tent set up on the ice?
- Linov: My name's Linov... Haha. What else would make a Snezhnayan set up a tent on the ice? Of course, it's for ice fishing.
- Linov: *sigh*... I heard this place had a great fishing spot, so I rushed to take some time off and rent a tent. But when I finally got here...
- Linov: Well, the spot was frozen shut. So I thought, "Well, guess I'll just head home." But then poor old Felkin took a hard fall while pulling the sled. Seems like he'll be out of work for a few days...
- Linov: Heh... When bad luck hits, even a sip of water can make you choke.
There's a fishing spot nearby?- Linov: Yeah... See? It's just up ahead. Someone even stuck a sign next to it, though I have no idea who.
- Linov: *sigh*... If only I'd brought a pickaxe or a drill, I could've broken through the frozen surface of the lake myself... But there's only so much you can do without the right tools.
- (Talk to Linov again, optional)
- Linov: *sigh*... At this point, why not just have a meteor fall from the sky and crack the fishing spot open!?
- Linov: If it can't break the ice, it might as well hit me instead. At least I wouldn't have to sit around on this frozen wasteland for days, wasting the vacation time I took off...
- (Successfully unfreezing the fishing spot)
- Linov: Oh wow, you absolute heroes. You actually cleared the fishing spot!
- Linov: ...Phew. Now I've gotta cast a few lines.
- Linov: Alright, fishing rod, fishing rod... where'd I put my fishing rod!?
- (A common chest spawns)
- (Interact with Wooden Plank Stuck by the Fishing Point, optional)
- Wooden Plank Stuck by the Fishing Point: (A temporary wooden sign reads:)
- Wooden Plank Stuck by the Fishing Point: "Fishing spot's frozen solid! No fishing for a few days. Come back when the weather warms up, you unlucky folks!"
- Wooden Plank Stuck by the Fishing Point: (There's a messy scrawl beneath the text...)
- Wooden Plank Stuck by the Fishing Point: "Even if the spot isn't frozen, an unlucky guy still won't catch a single fish!"
