Dialogue
- (Interact with any Tideseal Stone without a Lightkeeper character as the active character, optional)
Observe- Strange Rift: (Though the monsters have dispersed, the darkness has not faded. You may need to enlist the help of a professional who knows more about the Wild Hunt.)
Tideseal Stone #1
- Flins
- (Use Flins to interact with the Tideseal Stone)
Observe- Flins: The monsters have disappeared, but still, a fissure remains. And through it...
- Flins: I sense the thick stench of the Abyss. Something lurks behind this rift.
- Flins: Well, come out then. Or would you prefer a sealed letter of invitation?
- Flins: Did you truly think sneaking out of the fissure unseen would allow you to escape our eyes?
- (After defeating the Wilderness Hunter)
- Flins: The monsters that follow the Wild Hunt do not utterly lack intelligence, and they have some sense of strategy.
- Flins: As such, the consequences for underestimating the enemy in any battle are dire indeed.
- Illuga
- (Use Illuga to interact with the Tideseal Stone)
Observe- Illuga: The monsters here have been driven back, and yet a Wild Hunt rift remains. Could it be...?
- Illuga: Enough hiding, you wretch. I know you're lurking behind that rift.
- Illuga: Cheap tricks like this won't fool me. Come out and face your end!
- (After defeating the Wilderness Hunter)
- Illuga: That should be the last of them... The old man was right. The Wild Hunt has been getting craftier lately.
- Illuga: Looks like we'll need to be a lot more careful from now on.
Tideseal Stone #2
- Flins
- (Use Flins to interact with the Tideseal Stone)
Observe- Flins: Normally, once all the monsters that follow the Wild Hunt have been defeated, the stench of its taint should fade along with them.
- Flins: But this fissure persists... Unusual, but not unprecedented.
- Flins: Let's search the area. Perhaps something unclean still remains.
- (Investigate the Oath Lantern on top of the rock)
Investigate- Flins: Ah, a lantern. This is something that all Lightkeepers carry with them, and is a key tool in dispersing the Wild Hunt...
- Flins: The lantern remains, and on its cover lingers the scent of the Wild Hunt's permeation. The bearer, however, is nowhere to be found.
- Flins: I see. Though perplexing, it's not hard to conclude what happened here.
- Flins: The sacrifices of our Lightkeeper brethren are sometimes silent as a whisper. Finding out my colleagues have passed in this way is... always a shame.
- Flins: ...Allow me to carry the lantern you left behind, nameless one.
- Flins: Its body will be cleansed, its light, rekindled. It will find a new home in the arms of another Lightkeeper who vows to protect Nod-Krai.
- Flins cleans the lantern, then carefully puts it away.
- Flins: This lantern must be why the Wild Hunt didn't completely disappear. I'll hold on to it until someone from headquarters can come to retrieve it.
- Illuga
- (Use Illuga to interact with the Tideseal Stone)
Observe- Illuga: Normally, once the nearby monsters are cleared out, the rifts around here should disappear on their own.
- Illuga: So why does the Wild Hunt's presence still linger...? This is far too strange.
- Illuga: Could there be something I've overlooked? Something else that's been tainted by the Wild Hunt?
- (Investigate the Oath Lantern on top of the rock)
Investigate- Illuga: There's an Oath Lantern here as well. It must've belonged to someone who came before us...
- Illuga: The lantern is still stained with the Wild Hunt's corruption. It's not hard to imagine what happened...
- Illuga: From the day we take up the Oath Lantern, our lives are bound to the flame within it, until the moment our rightful mission is fulfilled.
- Illuga: To you, who fought to your last breath for the peace and safety of Nod-Krai, I offer my deepest respect.
- Illuga: I will take your lantern for now. Rest assured, the crown of the honored fallen will keep your legacy safe.
- Illuga: I'll bring it back to headquarters, rekindle its flame, and entrust it to someone worthy of carrying your will forward.
- Illuga cleans the lantern, then carefully puts it away.
- Illuga: With that, the Wild Hunt has been wiped out from this place, and our predecessor's spirit has finally found its rest.
Tideseal Stone #3
- Flins
- (Use Flins to interact with the Tideseal Stone)
- Flins: Hold on. Something is struggling within the fissure. And I sense that it... is not the Wild Hunt.
- Flins: Let us break the Hunt's shackles. Perhaps we have come upon an innocent caught in its claws.
- (A kuuhenki emerges from the fissure)
- (After following the kuuhenki)
- Flins: The Wild Hunt has always been a rare sight on Hiisi Island. They seem afraid of the moon's power, and dare not approach.
- Flins: Alright, we've sent the kuuhenki on its way back to Hiisi Island. Hopefully, it stays safe this time.
- Illuga
- (Use Illuga to interact with the Tideseal Stone)
- Illuga: Wait, I think there's something trapped inside that rift...
- Illuga: Don't worry, I'll get you out of there.
- (A kuuhenki emerges from the fissure)
- (After following the kuuhenki)
- Illuga: You should be safe now. The moon's power protects this place, so even the Wild Hunt wouldn't dare to come close.
- Illuga: There you go, little one. Don't let the Wild Hunt catch you again.
Sigurd's Return
- Flins
- (If Flins was used to interact with the final Tideseal Stone)
- Flins: The way he vanquishes monsters... No, that figure of legend has long since given his life in the line of duty.
- Flins: Could he have awakened again, somehow? Hmm... If you have a moment, go to the beach to the northeast of the Barrowmoss Barrens. That's where his grave is.
- (Use Flins to interact with Sigurd's grave)
Observe- Flins: I've heard that the legendary Starshyna, Sigurd, wielded a longsword, and his monster-slaying prowess was one of a kind.
- Flins: He vanished in the wake of a great battle, and so this empty grave was built in his honor.
- Flins: A purple blade and golden hair... He must be the wandering warrior who clashes with the Wild Hunt.
- Flins: It seems his spirit has not been able to find rest in his grave, just like many spirits in the Final Night Cemetery.
- Flins: Raising his sword against the Hunt, the hero's spirit remains unwavering, even after death.
- Flins: ...Sir Sigurd, you are a man worthy of my respect.
- Flins: Yet, to fight in solitude for naught but hatred and one's sense of duty is far too cruel a fate for a warrior such as you.
- Flins: Do you miss the days you shared drinks and songs with your fellow Lightkeepers, Sigurd? Have you any reason to wield your blade now, save hunger to slaughter your foes?
- Flins: If so, then show yourself. Let us spar, just like old times, just as it was in your days as a Lightkeeper.
- (While fighting Sigurd)
- Flins: Excellent swordsmanship. By the standards of ordinary human warriors, you are, without a doubt, exceptional.
- Flins: Consider the next few blows a mark of my respect, Sir Sigurd. En garde!
- (When Sigurd enters the Grief-Stricken state)
- Flins: Obsession and fury have destroyed your mind, yet buttressed your strength. An... unexpected development.
- Flins: Even so, your motions are measured, you strike without feints. An honorable foe, and an honor to face. Lay on!
- (After defeating Sigurd)
- Flins: That was an excellent battle, Sir Sigurd.
- Flins: Regrettable that this should be a hero's end.
- Flins: To wander alone in the land you sacrificed your life for... Did you see this day coming when you first answered the Lightkeepers' oath?
- Flins: Perhaps you did, and yet did not hesitate.
- Flins: I will visit you again in the future. Farewell, Sir Sigurd.
- Illuga
- (If Illuga was used to interact with the final Tideseal Stone)
- Illuga: The old man once told me stories of the legendary Starshyna Sigurd, the one he fought beside years ago.
- Illuga: The violet blade, the golden hair... he's exactly as the tales described. The person I've seen these past days... could that really be him?
- Illuga: His resting place lies on the beach northeast of the Barrowmoss Barrens. If I have the time, I should go there for a look.
- (Use Illuga to interact with Sigurd's grave)
Observe- Illuga: Mr. Sigurd, I owe you my life. If you hadn't led the Lightkeepers south to hold the line back then, I might have died without even knowing how, and my body would be nowhere to be found...
- Illuga: But why has your spirit not found rest? Why are you still wandering, still fighting?
- Illuga: Tainted by the Wild Hunt's corruption, your very form shattered... It seems you never truly left that battlefield, did you? For you, the war has never ended.
- Illuga: In that sense, perhaps I'm not so different from you. None of us will find true peace until the Wild Hunt is gone for good.
- Illuga: It's an honor to meet you, Mr. Sigurd.
- Illuga: I understand now. For a Lightkeeper, the best form of communication is done with blades in hand.
- Illuga: Then allow me to show you the strength of the new generation of Lightkeepers.
- (While fighting Sigurd)
- Illuga: Such swordsmanship... even the wildest of legends could barely come close.
- Illuga: Still, as one who came after, I will not admit defeat just yet!
- (When Sigurd enters the Grief-Stricken state)
- Illuga: Though the Abyss has clouded your mind, your bladework is impeccable...
- Illuga: It seems I'll require every ounce of skill to show you the proper respect!
- (After defeating Sigurd)
- Illuga: Well fought, Mr. Sigurd.
- Illuga: Rest assured. After you and your comrades fell, my father Nikita took up the mantle of Starshyna and led the people you saved to rebuild the order.
- Illuga: Today, we are strong enough to protect this land even under the shadow of the Wild Hunt.
- Illuga: Your sacrifice was not made in vain. Your deeds and your will shall live on.
- Illuga: Farewell, Mr. Sigurd. I'll visit you from time to time. May you find your peace at last.
