It's said that desserts made from slimes of different elements will have incredibly distinctive flavors.
Slimes are Common Enemies found all over Teyvat.
In combat, they act like almost all other Elemental Lifeforms, being immune to a specific element that is also applied to them at all times. Some slimes are larger and stronger than normal.
Types
Small Slimes
Small Slimes primarily attack by bumping into the player.
Large Slimes
Large Slimes have a greater range of attacks that vary based on element. However, they all share an attack where they leap into the air and slam down at the player's location.

Lore
Lowly life forms of minimal intelligence, made from condensed elemental energy. But ignore them for too long, and they just might become a bigger problem.
Typically, when life arises from the elements, it either descends and becomes a slime, or ascends and becomes a crystalfly.
Slimes, like other Elemental Lifeforms, are created from condensed elemental energy, with the type of energy determining their element and the concentration determining their size.[1] They are usually found in environments that correspond to their affiliated element, and they often gather in groups. However, one particular slime taken from the mortal world is steeped in "flawless source-light", allowing that slime to retrace its origins and return to the primordial state in which all things were one, reversing destruction works by the Heavenly Principles.[2]
Slimes need to extract elemental energy in order to survive, so they are irresistibly drawn to particularly potent sources, such as Mist Flower extract. These substances can thus be used as "Elemental Bait," as seen in Darknight Hero's Alibi and Astrology and the 50-Year Pact.
Humans have found some practical uses for slimes, though most are experimental. Slimes have been used for their physical properties by Garcia, who developed a slime-based lubricant for his Numbering Machine,[3] and Akim, who uses slime as a key ingredient in his "Concresoil," a novel clay-like building material.[4] They have been used for their elemental properties by Amber, who uses Pyro Slime Condensate to make her Baron Bunny,[5] and the operators of the Ruin Guard Factory, who used Electro Slimes to power their industrial machinery.
Slime is also sometimes used in cooking, though most people balk at the idea of consuming it. For this reason, food products that contain slime are typically passed off as agar-based, as it is extremely similar.[6] According to the Fontainian chef Escoffier, however, the culinary world has actually been interested in Elemental Lifeforms for centuries. From her own experience, she describes Hydro Slimes as completely flavorless, and Pyro Slimes as spicy with a hint of intense sweetness. Another chef, Xiangling, often experiments with slime as an ingredient. Her more well-received creations include Sugar-Frosted Slime and "Salt and Pepper Slime," the latter of which inspired Kuki Shinobu's uniquely delicious Roasted Lavender Melon.[7]
Hilichurls, too, have devised various ways of utilizing slimes, including using small slimes to make explosive barrels, using Cryo Slimes to preserve food,[8] and using Large Anemo Slimes as air balloons to transport cargo.[9] They also frequently use slimes in combat:
- Hilichurl Grenadiers and Mitachurls both dig up and throw small slimes at the player.
- The Wooden Shieldwall Mitachurl is also capable of creating a wooden shield with Dendro Slimes, while the Blazing Axe and Crackling Axe Mitachurls can elementally infuse their axes with Pyro or Electro Slimes, respectively.
- Lawachurls throw larger slimes, but will switch to smaller ones if their elemental shield is broken.
- Hilichurl Rogues, depending on the type, either use Anemo Slimes to float in the air to attack, or Hydro Slimes to launch projectiles before throwing them at the player.
Trivia
- While slimes are found all over Teyvat, Anemo and Dendro Slimes are mysteriously absent in Inazuma's islands. However:
- Large Anemo Slimes are encountered as part of the Full Speed Ahead and The Thundering Wilds Commissions at Watatsumi Island and at some Ley Line Outcrops.
- Dendro Slimes appear in Enkanomiya, although it is considered separate from the rest of Inazuma.
- During the Dreams of Childhood Event in Tears of Themis, the player can visit HoYoLand theme park, several mascots include: Homus from Honkai Impact 3rd and Slimes.
