Hyai'i, also known as the Hyai'i Federation,^[1] is a mentioned planet in Honkai: Star Rail.

Flora and Fauna

Hyai'i is known for being the origin of nosewalkers, a popular pet on some worlds.^[2] The planet also has a species of Yellow Milkvetch.^[3]

History

Sometime in the past, some Nameless snuck into the Hyai'i Zoo and spent the crew's budget on 250 Nosewalker cubs. They kept them in the restroom, where they were left to breed and multiply uncontrollably, causing other carriages to be filled with sewage.^[4]

In recent history, nosewalkers have been introduced aboard the Xianzhou Alliance as a popular alien pet. This seemingly cute, docile, and harmless pet also has a drawback: its size expands with that of its surrounding living space. When the Cloud Knights' hunting squad located the first of the nosewalkers, the largest had already grown to the size of two starskiffs. Based on data published by the Hyai'i Federal Bureau of Biology and Medicine, the largest nosewalker ever recorded is half the size of the Xianzhou Luofu.^[2]
