Dangerous Autocannon

Dangerous Autocannons are an exploration mechanic in Fontaine. They will automatically target and fire upon the player.
Once the player finds a "receiver node," they can disable and control the cannon using the ability of the Xenochromatic Ball Octopus.

- Dangerous Autocannons
A weapon that mostly appears near sunken ships. When a character appears within its line of sight and attack range, it will lock on and attack.
In most circumstances, you can follow the energy flow to find the missing crystal "receiver nodes" for the autocannons. After inserting the nodes into the ship's cannons, and by continually releasing Xenochromatic Ball Octopus energy at them, the ship's autocannon control permissions can be overridden. It will then cease attacking characters and can be manually controlled.
