Unipolar Field
Last updated 2025-11-30
Unipolar Fields are an exploration mechanic in Nod-Krai. They are concentrations of red or blue kuuvahki energy that can form naturally or artificially. Their magnetic properties can be used to enhance the player's jump or move other charged objects.
Overview
While the player is in a kuuvahki-empowered state, they can use a Unipolar Field of the same color to perform an extremely high jump. Note that Unipolar Fields themselves do not impart a kuuvahki-empowered state. After using a Unipolar Field to jump, the active character will not take Fall DMG upon landing.
Assembly Modules and objects in Moon Mirrors often have built-in Unipolar Fields. Using kuuvahki to pull and push these objects is key to solving these puzzles. Amazing 'Bots may also combine to generate Unipolar Fields.
Lightning strikes that are affected by kuuvahki can create Unipolar Fields, such as in the perpetually-stormy northern part of Barrowmoss Barrens. These fields appear to be temporary.
