Shoaling Kuuhenki are an exploration mechanic found on the Frost Moon at the Moontide Sea.

Overview

When in the Moonvein Suffusion achieved by absorbing Archaeolune Energy, the player can change the kuuhenki's form by interacting with them. The following transformations are possible:

• Transform into Lumenfin Whales that let the player float along
• Transform into huge Moonglow Jellyfish that the player can jump on
• Transform into an Archaeolune Energy Node
• Transform into a rounded shield

• Kuuhenki is derived from the words kuu (Finnish: kuu "moon") and henki (Finnish: henki "breath; soul; spirit"); as such, kuuhenki means "moon spirit."
