Lore
The Moongazer was the spaceship of the Space Lifeform Capture Station and was made by Ungien to be used to explore the origins of the deep-space signal that the first dragon pioneers received on the Frost Moon.[1]
When the Eye of Ibni-Belum recorded another deep-space signal and its coordinates, Ungien decided to embark on the journey to find the signal's sender and transmit back his findings, despite the coordinates being too far away for the spaceship to travel there and back.[1]
During the journey, the ship and Ungien encountered an unknown creature. He chose to fuse with the creature so that it could deliver a message to the dragons.[1]
The other researchers on the space station never heard back from Ungien again until years later, when the station's Space Capture Arm was damaged by an unknown object. It turned out that the object was the cloaked Moongazer. Ungien's partner, Maagees-Geti, began investigating the spaceship and only found "a round, black, spiky creature" inside that matched Ungien's data signature. After recuperating, the creature/Ungien delivered the message to the researchers and died shortly thereafter.[1]
