Etymology
- Bad-Uru-Namu-Ungien originates from Sumerian "Bád-uru-na-mu-un-gi-en".
- Bád: "wall".
- uru-na: genitive noun phrase meaning "of the town/city"; the suffix -na is a phonetic assimilation of the genitive marker -ak, this segment cannot be omitted without breaking grammatical possession logic.
- mu-un-gi-en: finite conjugated verb complex meaning "he made firm, consolidated completely".
- Bád-uru-na-mu-un-gi-en is a classic commemorative Sumerian naming phrase from Ur III period texts, translating to "he made the city’s wall solid". (French: le mur de la ville il a fait solide)[2]
