Northland Bank

Northland Bank is a point of interest and an instance located in Feiyun Slope, Liyue Harbor, Sea of Clouds, Liyue.
It is a Snezhnayan bank with branches all over the world, which are sometimes used by Fatui personnel as their base of operations.[1] It is also the only non-local bank in Liyue.[2]
The Northland Bank is a major location in Chapter 1 of the Archon Quests, where it was used as a rendez-vous point for the Traveler and Tartaglia. During Rite of Descension, Childe has the Traveler meet him there after escaping the Millelith. The Traveler returns there during the start of An Organization Known as Wangsheng, and goes there a final time during The Fond Farewell in search of Zhongli.

Mora Exchange
If the player has leftover funds from Tartaglia via the Archon Quest Downtown (A Huge Bag of Mora) or the Story Quest Teucer's Terrific Tour (Childe and Teucer's Mora Pouch), the funds can be exchanged for Mora. The shop menu of Northland Bank can be accessed by speaking to Ekaterina.

Lore
The bank claims to be "no ordinary bank" and embodies the values of Snezhnaya, primarily loyalty and promises. While they are generous in giving out loans to prospective clients, they request that the loan be paid on full in time, and become particularly upset should the loan not be paid in full and/or on time. The Fatui have a Debt Collection division, which is mostly staffed by Fatui Pyro Agents. Whenever someone defaults on a debt, an agent is usually sent to collect it, using as much force as needed in order to get them to comply, though other alternatives are also explored depending on the situation.
Liyue Branch
The Northland Bank branch in Liyue was set up sometime before the Traveler arrived and is known for giving out generous loans to prospective clients, although some of their rivals, such as Gentry De'an, claim that they used underhanded methods to establish themselves in Liyue. Tartaglia, when not busy with his Harbinger roles, occasionally helps the bank out with collecting debts. When he and Javert confronted the former owner of Yanshang Teahouse over his debt, he also uncovered the owner's fraud and reported it to the Millelith. The owner's arrest allowed Yelan to take over the establishment as her own base of operations.[3] Because of this, the bank has also gained a notorious reputation among borrowers.[4]
Ekaterina refuses to confirm any direct ties to the Fatui, despite wearing a Fatui uniform herself, but concedes that Harbingers are some of their clients. The bank also marks their bags with elemental energy, allowing them to determine whether or not it belongs to them.[5]
After Childe's attack on the authorities when they were trying to stop Osial, Ningguang had the Northland Bank pay a massive reparation which caused the employees to resent her for demand. After a surprise visit at the branch, a spy was sent to tail Ningguang and the Traveler, though they quickly sensed their presence and apprehended the spy. As a result, Ningguang returned to the bank and confronted the employees over their retaliation. Ekaterina stated that they would not comply with the investigation, but Ningguang told her that they would be begging to tell her after she was finished.[6]

Pantalone is in charge of the Northland Bank's operations as a whole,[7][8] although the establishment of new branches may be handled by other Harbingers, such as Pulcinella.[9] A new branch is being opened up in Sumeru City at the time the Traveler arrives.[10] There also exists a Northland Bank branch building in the Court of Fontaine between Caron's Lepaute Horlogerie and Livre's Leschots Clockwork Workshop,[11][12][13] although it is inaccessible.
Another branch in Nasha Town gave a loan to Zhuoxin. He was unable to pay the debt, but rather than sending the Debt Collection division after him, they instead offered him a proposition to serve as a spy and keep them up-to-date with information in the area. Zhuoxin would comply with their orders for ten years to keep his family safe. Eventually, when they learned that Ineffa would travel to Natlan to restore her memories and deliver a message, Sandrone realized that Ineffa made use of the Secret Source and sent the artificial Fatuus Velimiru with an elite special operation squad. They offered to waive Zhuoxin's debt to the bank, which they found extremely generous since they would get "nothing" in return. The group was killed during the events of the Archon Quest The Journey Home, and with Zhuoxin surviving the incident, decided to lay low in the Flower-Feather Clan for protection.[14]
This branch is finally encountered in person when the Traveler arrives in Nasha Town. It is currently managed by Jarosznski, with one Debt Collection agent, Kudratov, stationed there. According to its in-game description, while the branch looks unremarkable outside, its interior is filled to the brim with defense and alarms.
