(It wouldn't be appropriate for an outsider to read these letters...)- (Traveler): (Maybe I shouldn't read them...)

(There are letters that require Nefer's attention...)- Nefer: ...Seems like there's another matter for me to attend to.

- (Dialogue Set #1)
-
- Nefer: What's this letter doing here? Did Jahoda forget to put it away?
- Nefer: "Please help. I really want to have a kitty like Ashru!"
- Nefer: "Lady Nefer, can you tell me where you got him?"
- Nefer: The place I found Ashru... I very much doubt you'd want to go there.
- Nefer: Give it a couple of days, and I'll have Jahoda pass this letter on to the Adventurers' Guild — looking for cats is their area of expertise.
- (Dialogue Set #2)
-
- Nefer: ...Some customers are in too much of a hurry.
- Nefer: Such a pity... A customer who likes playing games, despite showing no talent for them.
- Nefer: Crying your eyes out while discussing the commission, sobbing, "No price is too much"...
- Nefer: And then revealing your "price," and having it conveniently be exactly what the commission's worth, not a Mora more or a Mora less...
- Nefer: Making a show of losing control over your emotions, then taking a sudden rational turn when it comes time to pay...
- Nefer: Forget it — the sum has been paid, so there's nothing for it but to follow up. We'll settle everything in a few days time.
- (Dialogue Set #3)
-
- Nefer: Did you find something, Ashru?
- Ashru: Meow. Meow?
- Nefer: Huh... So, you went outside gallivanting with Jahoda again yesterday. You didn't close the window properly when you got back.
- Ashru: Meow meow, meow meow meow meow...
- Nefer: At least she didn't make a scene this time. It looks like she's starting to learn.
- Nefer: Alright, let's leave the commission in this letter to her.
- (If Jahoda is in current party)
(There's a letter Jahoda needs to look at...)
- Jahoda: Another letter? Ugh, please don't make me rescue another cat again...
(Read.)- (Random dialogue set)
- (Dialogue Set #1)
-
- Ashru: Meow...?
- Jahoda: Oh Ashru, my dear Ashru, come, lend me your claws for a minute. I need to open this letter.
- Ashru: Meow meow, meow meow meow meow...
- Jahoda: *Sigh* I was just joking. And, speaking of which, it looks like your claws are overdue for a clipping...?
- Ashru: Meow! Meow meow meow MEOW!
- Jahoda: Alright, it's decided. I'll do it right now. Stay here while I get the nail clippers.
- Ashru: Meow... Meow!
- (Dialogue Set #2)
-
- Jahoda: Someone left a letter here again. I hope this doesn't mean another troublesome case...
- Jahoda: "Seeking to join the Fatui! Do you happen to know any way I could get in? Am ready and willing to pay any..."
- Jahoda: Ugh, I'm done reading this nonsense! What's with this fool, always pestering us to help him join the Fatui?
- Jahoda: What's so great about the Fatui anyway? Why can't he just live a nice, quiet life... Oh, that's right, I have to write a reply...
- Jahoda: What was it that Boss wrote the other time...? I think it was... "Regrettably, we do not have any expertise in this area and are hence unable to help in this matter."
- (Dialogue Set #3)
-
- Jahoda: Just where did I put... where did I put it?
- Jahoda: Found it! Phew, thank goodness...
- Jahoda: I'd be completely done for if I really lost the commission letter.
- Jahoda: I need to hurry and take it to Boss Nef now, since it seems like there's still time...

- Jahoda: Huh? Where's the money? There's nothing in here but a slip of paper...
- Jahoda: "My dear Jahoda, your bonus doesn't come from this box. Be sure to close it properly afterward."
- Jahoda: Pfft, Boss is trying to scare me again. Maybe there's a hidden compartment inside here somewhere...
- Nefer: There isn't any hidden compartment in there. Your bonus is right here.
- Jahoda: Oh, thanks Boss. I—
- Jahoda: Eeek! BOSS!!! I-I-I was just doing a cash count!!!
- Jahoda: I will get to work now, right now—
- Nefer: Stop right there.

Dialogue
Different characters will take shifts at the Curatorium of Secrets' reception desk. If the character has multiple dialogue sets, they will choose a random set per daily reset. If the desk is marked with a glowing spot, the player can choose to work a stand-in shift, during which certain playable characters may appear.
Amazing 'Bot

- Stand-In Robot: "Running errand, back soon. — Jahoda"
- Stand-In Robot: "If you need to contact Lady Nefer, please wait for me to get back."

Ashru
Dialogue Set #1

- Ashru: (Meow... Are you back here to ask for help?)
- Ashru: (Just write whatever it is on this piece of paper right here.)
- Ashru: (I can't help you, my claws are too sharp. I'd tear the paper to shreds.)
(Perhaps Columbina can understand what Ashru's saying...)
- Ashru: (Meow... Are you back here to ask for help?)
- Ashru: (Just write whatever it is on this piece of paper right here.)
- Ashru: (I can't help you, my claws are too sharp. I'd tear the paper to shreds.)
Excuse... meow? Are we supposed to check in here?
- Ashru: Meow...
Actually, I have a commission...
- Ashru: Meow...
If you don't mind...
- Ashru: Meow...
Thinking a cat might help was maybe expecting a bit much.
- Ashru: Meow...
Never mind.
- Ashru: Meow...
Never mind.
- Ashru: Meow...
Never mind.
- Ashru: Meow...
Dialogue Set #2
- Ashru: Meow, meow meow—
- Ashru: Meow? Meow!
Jahoda
Dialogue Set #1
- (Talk to Jahoda)
- Jahoda: *sigh* We've had hardly any customers today, there's nothing for me to do.
- Jahoda: I always say, if you're looking for a lost person or a cat, why bother coming to us when the Adventurers' Guild exists?
- Jahoda: But standing here doing nothing is mind-numbingly dull!
It looks like you'd rather be working.- Jahoda: I wouldn't go that far! But if I go sneaking off, Nefer'll give me an earful...
- Jahoda: (Traveler), how about you take over for a day and let me get some fresh air? Otherwise, I'm gonna die of boredom...
I'd rather not.
It's your shift, Jahoda.- Jahoda: *sigh* Alright, it was just a suggestion... I guess I'll get back to "work".
- Jahoda: Come on, Ashru, how about you help me out?
- Ashru: Meow meow? Meow. Meow~
- Jahoda: Meow! Meow meow meow!
- Ashru: Meow meow?
- Jahoda: I knew I couldn't count on you... Alright, alright, go run off and play or whatever.
Dialogue Set #2
- (Talk to Jahoda)
- (If Lauma is not the active character)
-
- Jahoda: Ashru, did the boss come back just now?
- Ashru: Meow~ Meow meow, meow—
- Jahoda: By the looks of things, she hasn't... Good, good, I made it back in time...
- Ashru: Meow meow, meow~
- (If Lauma is the active character)
-
- Jahoda: Ashru, did the boss come back just now?
- Ashru: (She's back~ You just haven't noticed~)
- Jahoda: By the looks of things, she hasn't... Good, good, I made it back in time...
- Ashru: (Human~ Silly~)
Dialogue Set #3
- (Talk to Jahoda)
- Jahoda: I saw Boss Nef sneak into the back room, looking shifty — I think she grabbed something... Could she have been getting some money to pay my wages?
- Jahoda: That must be it! Last time she promised to find me someone who can get a new pair of glasses made. Maybe she's getting ready to buy them for me?
- Jahoda: Boss Nef! You really are the bestest, most awesomenest boss ever!
Dialogue Set #4
- (Talk to Jahoda)
- Jahoda: Ugh... How does she know literally everything!? I'm done for this time...
- Jahoda: I was planning to take a day off and go see Aino. I daren't ask now...
Dialogue Set #5
- (Talk to Jahoda)
- Jahoda: ...Boss Nef'll be okay, right? I know she wanted me to stay at my post, but...
- Jahoda: Screw it! I'll knock off early and go see how she is.
- Jahoda: If she's still not feeling well, I might have to go ask Lauma to have a look at her...
Nefer
Dialogue Set #1
- (Talk to Nefer)
- Nefer: Welcome to the Curatorium of Secrets.
- Nefer: If you're looking to have a commission fulfilled, just leave a note in the message book over there.
It's rare to find you here...- Nefer: We have an important visitor coming today, and Jahoda has taken the day off.
- Nefer: As such, the Curatorium's receptionist for the day is none other than myself.
- Nefer: Would you look at the time? Our visitor should be arriving soon... I'll have to clear the place out shortly.
Dialogue Set #2
- (Talk to Nefer after completing Archon Quest Song of the Welkin Moon: Act X - Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana)
- Nefer: As expected of someone from the desert, Jeht is very efficient at what she does.
- Nefer: This was quite the unexpected find back in Sumeru. I suppose if I ever need something done in the desert in the future...
- Nefer: ...Never mind. It's best that I steer clear of the desert. It's not the easiest place to conduct business anyway.
Traveler (Stand-In Shifts)
- (Interact with the glowing spot on the counter)
Start Stand-In Shift- (First time)
-
- Paimon: How come no one's here? What's this...
- Paimon: Why's there a portrait of Paimon up here!?
And there's something written on the notice board...- (Opens the Curatorium of Secrets Message Board)
- Paimon: Huh? How did Jahoda know we'd drop by? What if we didn't come?
There's more...- Paimon: "I saw you coming in just now. Please, please, please. Help me. Please, please."
It's like please-themed wallpaper...
We should help her out.- Paimon: Alright, but what are we supposed to do?
I don't know...
I guess we just wait here.- You stand behind the counter. After a short while, a customer walks in...
- (Continues with one of the four customers below)
- (Subsequent times)
-
- Paimon: Argh... Why does Jahoda want us to cover for her again? Another sheet full of requests...
Her eyes really are sharp.
Well, we'll just have to help her...- Paimon: Let's go behind the counter, then. Hopefully we won't run into any trouble...
- (If the player has not met all four customers yet)
- You stand behind the counter. After a short while, a customer walks in...
- (Continues with one of the four customers below)
- (After meeting all four customers)
- It appears to be a fairly slow day with few customers. By the looks of it, you can already clock out.
Chevreuse
- Chevreuse: Hello, (Traveler), Paimon.
Ch—Chevreuse!?
Let me rub my eyes...- Paimon: What are you doing in Nod-Krai, Chevreuse? A—Are you here to catch someone?
- Chevreuse: Not quite. I'm here to scout out a location for the Special Security and Surveillance Patrol to conduct special training.
- Chevreuse: The patrol has always trained in Fontaine — it's become far too routine.
- Chevreuse: Now, when we train, everyone's moving their arms and legs, but they're not engaging their brains! They're just mechanically fulfilling their daily training quota.
- Chevreuse: If things go on like this, the Patrol is going to lose the ability to react to sudden events and changing circumstances.
- Chevreuse: That's why I plan to regularly take us beyond Fontaine's borders to train in unfamiliar surroundings.
- Chevreuse: Lady Nefer's already helped me find a location, I'm just dropping by to pay for her services.
- Chevreuse: Since you're the one on duty today, (Traveler), I'll entrust this money to you. Please make sure it gets back to her.
Uhm, okay...
But aren't you worried I might...
- Chevreuse: I trust in your moral character.
- Chevreuse: Alright, I'll take my leave. I need to return to Fontaine and get everything ready.
Gaming
- Gaming: Hey there, Boss. That stuff I ordered a few days ago... Huh? (Traveler), Paimon, what are you doing here?
Gaming?
We're helping a friend...- Gaming: Is there any place you don't have friends? You make even more connections than us escort guards.
- Paimon: Alright, that's enough. Now it's Paimon's turn to do the asking — what are you doing in Nod-Krai, Gaming? We're a long way from Liyue.
- Gaming: Oh, well, I happen to know someone out here, and one of their elders has a birthday coming up...
- Gaming: The old man doesn't want any fancy presents or a feast or anything — he misses home and just wants to see an authentic Liyue Wushou Dance.
- Gaming: But both this guy I know and his elderly relative are getting on in years, and there's no way they're making the trip back to Liyue... So they asked me to visit Nod-Krai and put on a performance.
- Gaming: Then, I heard from my escort friends about a job that would take us to Nod-Krai, so I decided to join them.
Did you have a safe journey?- Gaming: We ran into a few bandits on the way, but we sent 'em packing easily enough. No damage to people or goods!
- Gaming: Anyway, back to business. I was hoping Lady Nefer could put me in touch with some local suppliers — I'm looking to pick up some quality wood.
- Gaming: Once I get some wood, I can start building a stage, and then the performance can begin!
Let me jot that down.
Wood... Gaming...- Gaming: Thanks, (Traveler). The next time you're in Liyue, I'll treat you to... Huh? Is someone calling me...?
- Gaming: It'll be the other guards out looking for me, sorry, (Traveler), I've gotta go!
- Gaming: I'm coming! I'm coming!
Emilie
- Emilie: (Traveler), Paimon, it's been a while since we last said hello.
- Paimon: Emilie! Paimon hasn't seen you in forever!
It's great to see you again.- Paimon: Paimon and (Traveler) are helping out behind the counter today. If you need anything, just let us know!
- Emilie: Thank you so much but I'm not here looking for help, quite the opposite in fact — someone asked me for help.
Huh? Did Nefer...- Emilie: Indeed. I'm here at Lady Nefer's invitation... to help investigate a case.
- Emilie: To be exact, a wealthy man suddenly passed away in his home, and all traces of the crime were destroyed.
- Emilie: The only clue is a strange scent that lingered in the room.
- Emilie: And since he left behind a vast fortune that needs to be dealt with, his family invited Lady Nefer to find professionals to investigate — for a hefty fee.
- Emilie: She's put together quite a team in that short amount of time.
- Emilie: A formidable fighter from Fontaine, a smart scholar from Sumeru, an insightful investigator from Inazuma, a resourceful merchant from Liyue...
And... you?- Emilie: Yes! I'm the "Aroma Analyst."
- Emilie: That said, I was planning on visiting Nod-Krai anyway to look for new ingredients for my perfumes. This investigation is a happy coincidence, I suppose.
- Emilie: Could you take a note for me, (Traveler)?
- Emilie: "Emilie has arrived in Nod-Krai and is ready to begin investigating."
I'll get it done.- Emilie: Many thanks. I'd love to stay and chat, but I'm afraid I need to head back and organize my tools.
- Emilie: We should sit down and share a pot of tea, if you can find the time. I have a few stories I think you'd find most interesting.
Escoffier
- Escoffier: This should be the Curatorium of Secrets... hmm?
- Escoffier: (Traveler), Paimon? What a coincidence! I wasn't expecting to see you here...
- Escoffier: What are you up to?
We're helping a friend.
We're working in Nod-Krai.- Escoffier: *sigh* You've fallen on hard times...
- Escoffier: Oh, right, do you know a young robot lady, by any chance? She smells a lot like pancakes.
- Escoffier: Like very... simple pancakes. Like pancakes made without too many fancy ingredients.
- Escoffier: It's hard to find pancakes like that these days, so I was curious about the recipe she might be using.
- Escoffier: Unfortunately, before I had the chance to ask, she'd already left.
- Paimon: Pancakes... Robot lady... You must be talking about Ineffa!
- Escoffier: So you do know her! Fantastic news! Where does she live? I'd like to pay her a visit.
- Escoffier: She probably eats... Well she probably doesn't eat the same things as us, right? Should I take her some... machine oil?
You could take some food over to Aino...- Escoffier: Aino? Who might that be?
- You explain who Aino is and her relationship with Ineffa. You also tell Escoffier where they live...
- Escoffier: So it's like that... It isn't good for children to eat too many sweet things.
- Paimon: Paimon thinks you're missing the point...
- Escoffier: Still, that won't be a problem — I know how to make all sorts of delicious snacks that aren't sweet.
- Escoffier: Let me find a kitchen to borrow, then I'll rustle up some snacks and make my way over to their workshop.
- Escoffier: Wonderful! This trip to Nod-Krai has been excellent — not only did I get my hands on new ingredients, but I even learnt an extra-special recipe to boot!
