- Starrie: My luck's been off lately!
- Starrie: I've been working hard, living within my means, saving up every last Denny I got... but I always have the most rotten luck and end up having to spend money everywhere. The balance in my bank account just keeps shrinking. No matter which way I look at it, something just doesn't add up.
This isn't that weird...
- Starrie: Right! I think it's weird, too. It's got to be that legendary Golden Bangboo targeting me. They say that in the Ballet Twins buildings, there's this Golden Bangboo who can control people's fortunes.
Everyone hits a rough patch sometimes, right?
- Starrie: No, this isn't just a rough patch! It's got to be that legendary Golden Bangboo targeting me. They say that in the Ballet Twins buildings, there's this Golden Bangboo who can control people's fortunes.
- Starrie: Legend has it that previous owners of the Ballet Twins befriended it when they were young, and they promised to make this massive, shiny statue of it out of gold once they made their fortune. In return, the Golden Bangboo blessed them with booming business success, helping them build the grand towers — Ballet Twins.
- Starrie: But as their business empire grew, the twin bosses started to dismiss their old promise with the Golden Bangboo, thinking that everything they'd achieved was thanks to their own hard work.
- Starrie: Those two were so full of themselves that they ditched their promises completely. They even commissioned paintings and statues of other Bangboo while the Golden Bangboo was left to languish in a corner—forgotten, unwanted, and ignored by everyone.
- Starrie: Feeling betrayed, the Golden Bangboo cast a vile curse, vowing to topple the twins' business empire! And one night, the Ballet Twins were swallowed up by a Hollow, bankrupting the bosses instantly.... Now, anyone bold enough to go near the Ballet Twins would have their fortunes sucked away by the Golden Bangboo.
Sounds like a fairy tale.
- Starrie: This is not just a fairy tale! My luck has literally been sucked dry by that Bangboo!
Sounds like a lovers' quarrel.
- Starrie: What does their love life have to do with me, huh? Why does the Golden Bangboo have to take away all of my good fortune?!
- Starrie: A couple of days ago, I was out walking at night when I saw this shiny golden Bangboo just standing there in the corner, staring at me. I was terrified, stomping my feet and yelling at it to go away. Then it gave me this withering look, and ran back into the Hollow.
- Starrie: Ever since then, it's like the Bangboo's been holding this grudge against me. Everything's been going wrong: I lost my purse just walking around, I invested in a stock and it tanked, and I couldn't even pull a free bottle from the prize draw at the convenience store...
Isn't that all pretty normal, though?- Starrie: No! That's not normal! I've never been so unlucky in my whole life! I've been spending Dennies like crazy recently — my savings are almost all gone!
- Starrie: Forget it... Anyway, there's no point in just making wishes. They say the Golden Bangboo only picks on the weak, but if you send a few tough-looking types, like debt collectors, to rough it up a bit, it starts playing nice again.
- Starrie: I've already hired some heavies from this really badass website to teach that Bangboo a lesson. This time, that Golden Bangboo is going to give me back my good fortune!
- (Idle)
- Starrie: Darn it, c'mon — give me back my luck!
- (Talk to Starrie again, optional)
- Starrie: Ahhh! I really shouldn't [sic] picked on that guy!
- Starrie: If things keep going like this, I'll be broke in no time!

![]() I think I've been cursed by the Golden Bangboo in the Ballet Twins. My finances have been terrible lately. Rumor has it that if you find a few tough, ominous characters to give the Bangboo a good beating, it'll back down and lift the curse. So... can someone beat it up in the Hollow for me? Please, I need help! | ||

- Starrie: Finally, someone took on my commission and gave that annoying Bangboo a good beating!
- Starrie: My wallet might be empty now, but it feels like my good fortune is already back, baby!
How can you be so sure?- Starrie: I just bought a can of coffee from the convenience store and I won another can for free. Looks like my luck has taken a turn for the better!
- Starrie: Now I need to make some cash fast to recover from all the losses from before.
- Starrie: Well, first, I'll spend the rest of this month's salary on lottery tickets. Then, I'll put some into savings while I invest the rest on the stock market with leverage!
Huh?
You gotta chill, dude.- Starrie: Hehe, don't you worry — it was that darn Golden Bangboo draining all my luck and fortune and stopping me from making any money.
- Starrie: But this time, so long as I work hard on investing, I should be able to strike it rich!
- (Idle)
- Starrie: Ahhh fab!
- (Talk to Starrie again, optional)
- Starrie: Now that my luck's back, I can double my portfolio just by dabbling in the stock market!
- Starrie: Hehe, I mean—I haven't actually traded stocks before, but how hard can it be, right?
Epilogue
- (Idle)
- Starrie: Oh, how I wish I could strike it rich quick!
- Mr. All-Knowing: If you're serious about making money, you've got to start by building up your knowledge.
- (Listen to Starrie and Mr. All-Knowing)
- Starrie: Ahhh! All the leveraged stocks I bought... They're all gone...
- Starrie: What's going on? We got rid of the Golden Bangboo's curse, so why am I still losing money?
- Mr. All-Knowing: I've got some good stuff over here. You want in?
- Mr. All-Knowing: When the Ballet Twins collapsed and everyone fled, a genius trader left his notebook behind in the building! They say that he left a lot of secret stock tips inside it.
- Mr. All-Knowing: They say that as long as you can understand the underlying logic behind things, you can sharpen your insight and know the market inside out — and hit the jackpot overnight!
- Starrie: I — I'll take it! I really, really want to get rich!
- (Listen to Starrie again, optional)
- Starrie: I really want to buy that stock tips notebook, but I don't have any money...
- Mr. All-Knowing: Where'd your money go?
- Starrie: I lost it all in the stock market...
