Six Great Hollows

The Six Great Hollows refer to six giant Hollows that currently exist in New Eridu. The majority of new Hollows that appear are all Companion Hollows of the Six Great Hollows.[1]
Description
Overview
The Six Great Hollows are massive and active Hollows, which is only outmatched by Hollow Zero. Due to various reasons, the Six Great Hollows are impossible to eliminate.[2] Hollow Zero and the six Great Hollows are connected to each other, and a person can end up in Hollow Zero through a Great Hollow.[1]
Due to the events related to The Creator and Lemnian Hollow, Ether activity has seen a significant rise.[3][4]

Trivia
- While Hollow Zero is called a "great Hollow," it is not considered as part of the list for the Six Great Hollows and is treated as separate and higher than the Six Great Hollows.[2][4]
Etymology
- Each Great Hollow seems to reference a location or person who was associated with a labyrinth.
- The Cretan Hollow is likely named after the island of Crete, famous for the mythological labyrinth built by Daedalus where, according to the legend, the Minotaur was imprisoned until the Greek hero Theseus killed him.
- The Lemnian Hollow is likely named after the Island of Lemnos, where, according to Pliny the Elder, a labyrinth was located.
- The Hawara Hollow is likely named after Hawara, an archaeological site where the Pharaoh Amenemhat III built a pyramid with numerous traps and protective measures.
- The Pursenas Hollow is likely named after Pursenas, an Etruscan king whose tomb, according to Pliny the Elder, contained an underground maze.
- The Papago Hollow is likely named after the Tohono O'odham people of Arizona & Sonora, previously called Papago by Spanish colonizers, who worship the god I'itoi, also known as "The Man in the Maze".
- The Solove Hollow is likely named after the Solovetsky Islands, which present 35 labyrinths made of local boulders, with the most famous being the group on Bolshoi Zayatsky Island.
