Beliora Vike

Beliora Vike, formally known as Colonel Vike, is an NPC from the Eridu Era. She was the Colonel of the Guard of Staves and one of the first seven people to be awarded the title of "Void Hunter."[2]

Profile

Beliora Vike, alongside Lieutenant Colonel Remielle Dan and the Leader of the Falkenhayn Mercenary Troupe, was responsible for pushing the Dark Wall back by thirty-seven kilometers. Information about her is locked behind Inter-Knot's Deep Database's File 0-3092-5800-A6.[2]

Due to an experimental accident years ago, the Ether within Vike rose beyond control until she became an Enchainer, forcing Remielle to personally dispatch her.[3]

History

Beliora was childhood friends with Remielle. She saw past the latter's outward persona as the perfect gifted child and recognized the real Remielle underneath, who sometimes struggled under the weight of everyone's expectations.[3] The two were close to the point that Remielle would use Beliora's bedsheets to dry her wings when she got caught in the rain, and though this angered Beliora, she would still finish drying Remielle's wings for her regardless.[4] Remielle states that part of the reason she initially accepted the Void Hunter title was to compete with Beliora.[5]

Some time after the trio pushed back the Dark Wall, their efforts were officially recognized by the Eridu City Hall and Remielle took the opportunity to announce an upcoming experiment with Helios Academy: Project Sunseeker. Proposed by Professor Arche and Lady Sunbringer, the project sought to partially fuse a Void Hunter with the Karma Core sealed in their weapon, using Porcelloy as a medium. The Void Hunter would become an artificial Enchainer, alleviating the negative impacts of their weapon and possibly even achieving a stronger form. Initially, only Remielle was planned to be the test subject, but Beliora insisted on joining the experiment. The project ended in failure as Beliora's Karma Core spiraled out of control and she transformed into an Enchainer. Remielle, who had partially fused with the core inside Thaumiel herself, was forced to kill Beliora in order to stop her attacks.[3] This incident later became known as the "Day of Silence" Operation, and both Beliora and Remielle were reported deceased in the line of duty.[4]
