Bear Thirens are one of the many groups of Thiren found across New Eridu and the Outer Ring. They are one of the more common kinds of Thiren known to exist.
Description
Bear Thirens are one of the more common Thiren types found in New Eridu.[1] Currently, no human-like bear Thirens are known, all examples of bear Thirens that have appeared so far are more animalistic in form. While Thirens largely have naturally high Ether aptitude, bear Thirens' aptitude is exceptional.[2] This attribute allows them to excel in Hollow-related jobs and activities, such as construction and porcelume mining.[3]
Bear Thirens are known for their calm demeanor and resistance to stress.[4] They maintain their composure under pressure, a trait that sets them apart from many other species. Despite this, they are known for being impatient when found in combat situations.[5]
History
Bear Thirens have existed since before the founding of Eridu, where they made have made significant contributions to society, including in the field of space explorations, where bear Thirens are noted in historical records as being well represented among cosmonauts. Since Eridu's founding, bear Thirens have been among its citizenship, with the earliest known historical bear Thiren - the giant panda Thiren Big Pan, working as a mercenary for the city's benefit. Despite this, their impressive size and intimidating presence leads to Bear Thirens being considered dangerous by some people, with some falsely assuming they eat intelligent lifeforms.[6]
Types
Three varieties of bear Thiren are known to exist: brown bear Thirens, giant panda Thirens and polar bear Thirens. Brown bear Thirens are the most common, with almost all known bear Thirens in New Eridu being brown bears.
Comparatively, giant panda Thiren are a rare sight in New Eridu. [7] Despite this, they maintain positive relations with other kinds of bear Thiren.[8] They also have thick skin that lets them handle a variety of temperatures with ease, and are omnivores rather than herbivores.[9]
