She is calm and collected, and unusually competent and efficient in combat, almost as if she'd had years of training.
In an unexpected incident, Nicole brought her back to the Cunning Hares, and she's has an emotional independence on her ever since.
She loves watching movies, but due to certain lack of common sense she seems to almost think them real-life stories.

Anby Demara is a young girl whose age and past are a mystery, as is where she learned her highly efficient fighting style. She was taken in by Nicole and joined the Cunning Hares, she gradually became a strong, most trusted companion responsible for combat. Anby loves movies, but due to a lack of common sense, she often believes them real and follows their example...
Anby: This isn't true, I never take fictional stories seriously. For example, I know the Starlight Knight isn't real, putting on his belt and shouting "Transform!" to gain superpowers... Obviously you'd need to be bitten by a mutant insect for that.

Profile
Anby Demara is a highly skilled member of the Cunning Hares and a former soldier of the New Eridu Defense Force. Though she lacks basic social skills, Anby makes up for it with her advanced combat prowess and Hollow knowledge gained from her genetic cloning and time as Soldier 0.
Anby has two notable special interests: movies and hamburgers, the former she uses as reference for real life events, and the latter her favorite food due to its taste, affordability, and complete nutritional value.
History
Before the Fall of the Old Capital, Anby was known as Soldier 0, the captain of the Silver Squad, a group within the New Eridu Defense Force Obsidian Division. Unlike other squads, Silver Squad's infantry consisted of replicas, artificial humans made via genetic cloning. This made them incredibly loyal and powerful (albeit very high-maintenance) soldiers that could be easily replaced if they died in battle. As Soldier 0, Anby was considered the best of all the replicas, obedient to the point where she would kill herself if ordered.[1]
All replicas considered themselves to be sisters and cared for each other as family. Therefore, when the Defense Force tried to select only one replica to keep and then dispose of the others to cut maintenance costs, Anby started failing her tests on purpose to convince the Obsidian Division that the entire Silver Squad was needed.[2] One day, their superiors decided to devise a suicide mission to kill off all members of the Silver Squad and keep Anby as the sole replica. However, the night before the operation, Harin, known now as Soldier 11, got injured during training, so Anby took her place for deployment.[3]
Despite the mission being created ad hoc to leave no soldier alive, Anby managed to survive and return to the base after witnessing the death of her sisters. Upon her return, her disgruntled superiors, who wanted to keep only one replica alive, gave Anby the order to kill Soldier 11. In an act of disobedience towards her superiors and of love towards her sister, Anby slit her own throat instead, so that the Obsidian Division would be forced to keep Soldier 11 as the sole replica. Her superiors hence kept Soldier 11 and disposed of Anby's body by leaving it by the ruins of the Old Capital, where she was eventually found by Nicole Demara,[1] who took her in as the first member of Gentle House and gave Anby her own surname.[4]
When a replica sustains a heavy injury, their memory gets damaged, leading to temporary retrograde amnesia.[3] Therefore, it took a while before Anby remembered her past as Soldier 0. When the memories of her time in the Silver Squad came back, she asked Nicole to gather information regarding Soldier 11, as she learnt that her sister had joined Obol Squad and had become an exemplary soldier. In the end, Anby decided it was best to leave her be, feeling that their shared past would only weigh greatly on her.[5]

Despite her extreme lack of common sense, Anby is well-versed in matters related to combat and is among the strongest combatants of the Cunning Hares.
Anby's greatest interest is movies, of which she likes an extensive range of genres. Due to an excessive obsession, she tends to take the stories in movies as reality.
Contrary to her seemingly emotionless appearance, Anby is easily moved by movie storylines.
Her favorite food is hamburgers because "they contain protein, carbs, and greens, taste good, and are even affordable — there's nothing else besides hamburgers."

- Anby's surname that is obtained from Nicole, Demara, is a reference to the American imposter Ferdinand Waldo Demara, who is known for various impersonations throughout his life.
- Demara's first impersonation was of "Anthony Ignolia". He was an army member who went AWOL, Demara then assumed his identity. This is simliar to the way that Anby once being a soldier before starting a new life.
- According to Venus, Anby's moniker is "the Electric Geek."[6]
- Anby's teaser serves as a partial prequel to the events of Season 1, taking place right before the Prologue and explaining how the Cunning Hares found themselves inside the building seen at the start of the prologue.[7]
- Her teaser and her Soldier 0 character demo both feature Anby falling and saying similar lines:
