Profile
Qingyi, or 01 Neo-Genesis VI, is an experienced Public Security officer and novice investigator. With a personally modified riot baton, she fights crime in New Eridu. The most notable thing about Qingyi is her mature personality, having built it off of Old Civilization media and her own very long life. She spends her free time with the elderly citizens of New Eridu, playing chess and drinking hot water.[1] Compared to other Public Security officers, Qingyi is incredibly laid-back, from playing pranks on her other members to working with Proxies.[2]
History
The "01NG VI Criminal Investigation Automaton" was one of the many discoveries from the Old Civilization made by White Star Institute. Whilst registering serial numbers, the researcher who found her, tired from working overtime, accidentally wrote down "QING YI," having mistaken "01NG Ⅵ" for a name. The titular intelligent construct didn't mind this mistake, embracing her new name: "Qingyi."[3] Over time, Qingyi underwent numerous modifications, including the installment of an emotion module and alteration of her hair.[Note 1] Upon the recommendation of White Star Institute, Qingyi joined New Eridu Public Security, becoming a full-fledged officer before moving to the Criminal Investigation Special Response Team, where she became a novice investigator assigned to Captain Zhu Yuan, serving as an underling and mentor to her.[Note 2]

Qingyi customized her weapon by modifying the standard riot baton from Public Security, tailoring it to her own combat style and PubSec's need for a large number of non-lethal arrests. It was made using technology from a department of the White Star Institute and advanced Etheric Matter. It is light yet robust and is highly conductive.
As the saying goes, "Excelling at one's work requires one to first sharpen their tools." Even Intelligent Constructs like myself need the help of a handy weapon.
