Official Introduction
Grip tight the reins tempered by the light of dawn.
What's scorched never fades beneath the skin —
Until they step onto the promised golden chariot once more.
Profile
As an Etheric Other, Pyrois is not a truly independent entity, and serves as an extension of the power of Helios. Both Phaethon and Helios are able to control and speak through Pyrois, and the Etheric Other has various unique abilities: being able to manipulate Singularity Leakages, move at high speed, contain individuals within a space inside of themselves, manifesting an Etheric longsword, and fusing with their user Phaethon when engaging in combat.
History
After their confrontation in Roscaelifer, Helios agreed to loan Pyrois's power to Phaethon for the time being, where they were summoned to have a training session with Billy.[1] They then joined Phaethon along with Billy, Cissia and Velina as they investigated the Energy Hub, showcasing their power for the first time to interact with Singularity Leakages, run along railings and contain individuals within themselves. After their investigation was resolved, Phaethon then was summoned to aid Phaethon and Norma continue their investigation in secret at the CCD, where the group would encounter Remielle and come face to face with both Girtablullu and Bashmu, fending off the former and having to flee from the latter.
During Phaethon's investigations with Remielle, Pyrois was present to help them, and directly intervened to protect Phaethon from Girtablullu after it had partially merged with Dracaene, escaping out of a window at the CCD's headquarters. Phaethon was distressed at the fact Pyrois chose to flee rather than stay and help Truvia, but Helios expressed that there was no saving Truvia, and that the damage their fight would have done to Roscaelifer would have been catastrophic regardless. They were then summoned to help in taking down Girtablullu before it could fully develop into an Enchainer, cutting through its coccoon alongside Remielle, battling the Ethereal, and rescuing Dracaene after she was separated from it. As Remielle began to succumb to her Enchainer transformation, Phaethon used Pyrois's power to obscure Remielle from the Airspace Patrol, and used a Fissure to escape.
Following this, Pyrois was listed as a wanted individual by the Airspace Patrol, with warrants for their arrest being spread across Booastrum District. However, this was merely a formality due to the sensitive nature of the situation, and neither Sigrid or Lindverne were actually interested in apprehending Pyrois, and by extension Phaethon.[2]
