Corin Wickes is a young maid working for Victoria Housekeeping Co. who has notable self esteem and confidence issues. Once a sickly girl who required major surgery,[1] Corin is now an exceptional combatant who takes an intimidating and devastating 'chainsaw' with her wherever she goes, be it for in-Hollow commissions, for maid-related tasks, and for everyday life. Though timid, lacking self-esteem and constantly apologizing for anything and everything, Corin is one of Victoria Housekeeping's most reliable members, sporting a flawless performance and never failing to fulfill her tasks.[2] On rare occasions, Corin shows notable initiative and confidence; at times like this, she rarely stutters or apologizes.[3]
History
Though much of Corin's backstory remains unknown, outside of hints of hints of past friendships,[4] and poor health prior to joining Victoria Housekeeping Co.,[1] Corin's role in Phaethon's Story is small, but immensely crucial.
During a commission within the Dead End Hollow, Corin found herself seperated from her companions whilst hiding from a very dangerous Ethereal. Lost within the Hollow without a Carrot data to guide her out, she encountered Nekomiya Mana and Phaethon from the other side of a train car that blocked the path, who she mistakes to be members of the Hollow Investigative Association. Upon overhearing that they needed to get past the train car, Corin asks if she was able to get them to the other side if she could come with them, before using her chainsaw to cut through the steel of the train with ease, whilst just missing Nekomata and the Proxy. The duo helped Corin exit the Hollow and carried on with their mission.[5]
Later on, whilst the Cunning Hares were tresspassing within the Ballet Twins Hollow on the search for Rain. Corin Wickes would encounter Nekomata and Phaethon once again. Corin was able to vouch for the groups trusthworthiness (still believing them to be official investigators).[6] Corin's endorsement would allow Von Lycaon to make a closer connection with Phaethon, who he had been tasked with spying on by his employer And allow all of Victoria Housekeeping to form friendships with the siblings as well.[7]
