Etymology
- Tepes is the romanization of the Romanian word țepeș "impaler", term usually associated to Voivode of Wallachia, commonly known as Vlad the Impaler (Romanian: Vlad Țepeș) for his habit of executing enemies through impalement. He is famous for later becoming the archetype for Count Dracula in Bram Stoker's novel Dracula.
