Crystalline lenses tremble deep within their vision, spilling excess radiance — too bright, too close, as if someone had embedded the blazing sun into their eye sockets.
Consciousness wears thin amidst the burning.
The swing ends — like a reflex, like a habit, lacking even the concept of a target. There is only a suffocatingly familiar blankness, as if long ago, they had also lost their voice and weight like this, watching everything plummet amidst the light and heat. In combat, Scorched Horizon leverages extraordinary Ether mastery to undergo multiple self-reconstructions, simulating various Etheric Other attack forms and their corresponding attributes. Scorched Horizon activates the Misty Veil state at specific opportunities while simultaneously enabling the Corruptive Barrier. Performing Chain Defensive moves against certain skills used during the Misty Veil state triggers Impaired and rapidly depletes the Corruptive Barrier. Additionally, during the Misty Veil state, updrafts will frequently appear across the battlefield — taking damage from these updrafts will restore a small amount of Scorched Horizon's Corruptive Barrier.
