The Deca-Light Reflection Barrier is the premiere divination matrix used by the Divination Commission of the Xianzhou Yuque.[1]
Description
Nous had granted divine volumes outlining the matrix calculations to the Xianzhou centuries ago. The Xianzhou Yuque's Divination Commission had pored over them to interpret and manifest the wisdom within, ultimately constructing the best divination matrix in the entire Alliance, the Deca-Light Reflection Barrier.[1] Yao Guang contributed to the formation of the Deca-Light Reflection Barrier and introduced herself as its self-proclaimed master.[2][3] She described it as a jeweled web that mirrors the world itself, its radiance multiplying without end. Due to an incident, she once glimpsed every possible outcome through it.[4] This is likely the same accident in the extrapolation array that lead to Yao Guang's symptoms of temporal displacement. [5]
History
Inspired by the extrapolations of Nous, the Yuque eventually constructed the Deca-Light Reflection Barrier for divining the future. During the Battle of Thalassa, The newly formed Deca-Light Reflection Barrier produced a baffling prediction: instead of deploying the millions-strong and battle-hardened Xianzhou Yaoqing fleet, seek help from the distant Ebonpearl Fleet of the Xianzhou Fanghu. Ultimately, the Generals decided to use the Heroncrest of the Yaoqing instead, as the Fanghu was too far away, and current forces would've had to withstand multiple counterattacks from the enemy for six months before the Fanghu arrived.[6]
During a debate, Master Diviner Jingtian admitted that he chose to take Diviner Fu Xuan in as his student after knowing about his predetermined future. After he consulted the Deca-Light Reflection Barrier and interpreted the hexagram, he firmly believed that his life would end in her hands. However, he was waiting for her to take over his position and become the Xianzhou Yuque's master diviner, because it had all been predetermined. Fu Xuan could not accept his blinding fatalism and ran away from the Xianzhou Yuque to the Xianzhou Luofu's Divination Commission.[1]
In the year 8072 Star Calendar, during the Third Abundance War, the Yaoqing and Fanghu alerted the Xianzhou Luofu about the assembly of the Denizens of Abundance, the revival of the living planet Ketu Mirage, and their attack on the Fanghu. The Luofu dispatched four brigades of Cloud Knights to help them fight, but they were still in a dire situation. Fu Xuan proposed a plan to the Six Charioteers to contact the Reignbow Arbiter using the Yuque's Cloudpeer Telescope, which would be shipped to the Fanghu using a Navis Astriger. The Yuque's Master Diviner, Jingtian, was the only person who has the permission to use the Cloudpeer Telescope and could send out a signal in the format of the Reignbow's decree.[7]
Before sending the Cloudpeer Telescope to the Fanghu, Jingtian had assigned Yao Guang to guard the Yuque and extrapolate the Deca-Light Reflection Barrier, ensuring the Reignbow's Lux Arrow would land on schedule. Within the Deca-Light Reflection Barrier, she had divined ceaselessly, yet never managed to grasp even a single thread of possibility that could rewrite the battle at the Fanghu.[8][9] The Reignbow Arbiter then descended onto the battlefield and annihilated the Borisins' fleet using their Lux Arrow, and nearly one-fifth of the Xianzhou Fanghu's delves were destroyed by the Lux Arrow's bombardment. Jingtian perished in the collateral destruction, the Deca-Light Barrier's extrapolation from years earlier coming to pass.[10][7]
It was around this time that Yao Guang experienced an accident in the extrapolation array, leading to symptoms of temporal displacement, causing her to deviate from her current spacetime coordinates, leaping through the spacetime continuum and reappearing at incorrect temporal points ranging from approximately ±1 to 12 hours, accompanied by spatial displacement within a radius of 15 kilometers. The cause of the episodes remains unknown, and the pattern of occurrence is still unclear, though there is a suspected increase in frequency. Yao Guang's self-awareness remains uninterrupted during temporal leaps, and her brain function remains highly active post-displacement, suggesting a possible maintained connection with the spacetime structure of the Deca-Light Reflection Barrier.[5]
