References are provided as much as possible. Notes expand on the deduction and reasoning used to draw certain conclusions, which can be read either by hovering over them (desktop-only) or by clicking on the note. Some specific types of notes found on the page include:

  • Translation Note: Used when the original Chinese text and official English localization do not match, or if something is clearer in Chinese. In the case of a translation discrepancy, the original Chinese text always takes priority.
  • Lore Discrepancy: When information provided in the game is self-contradictory, retroactively changed, or contradicts information from outside media, it's considered a lore discrepancy. This is different from a translation discrepancy, in which information is contradictory or misleading due to inaccuracies in localization. In the case of a lore discrepancy between in-game information and outside media, the in-game information always takes priority.
  • Assumptions: To make sense of the lore — which miHoYo writers often deliberately obscure by withholding critical information until later Versions, giving contradictory evidence, and scattering information across various sources (e.g Readables and Relics) — editors will sometimes make assumptions to determine the order of events or connect pieces of lore together. However, they may become obsolete and proven incorrect by new lore reveals and story content. These notes serve as a disclaimer, and expand on the editors' reasoning for their conclusions.

Before the 0th Amber Era

  • The Imaginary Tree emerges out of the depths of the Sea of Quanta, leading to a never-ending rivalry between the two cosmic structures. The Tree attempts to absorb the Sea, while the Sea attempts to drown the Tree. By drinking from the Sea, the Tree gives birth to an innumerable quantity of worlds in which Honkai: Star Rail takes place.[1][2]
  • Due to the emergence of the Imaginary Tree, an energy known as Imaginary Energy comes into existence.
  • Stars start shining and releasing heat.[3]
  • Humanity and language come into existence.[4]
  • Long unravels the revelation of the Permanence, and Long's Scions emerge.[6][Note 1]

Before the First Prosperity

Dusk Wars

  • 0 AEQlipoth ascends as the Aeon of Preservation, marking the end of the Dusk Wars.
    • The "blank" period supposed by the Interastral Peace Corporation begins. However, many archaeological discoveries proved that Leviathans remained active in the early days after Qlipoth ascended to Aeonhood.[8]
  • 180 AE — The "blank" period supposed by the IPC ends.[8]

Unknown Time Period

  • Akivili was born on Pegana, departing the isolated world sometime later and ascends as the Aeon of Trailblaze.[14]

First Prosperity

  • 1168 AE — Members of the Genius Society bring forth the First Prosperity.[12]
    • Zandar believes that Nous was a mistake, and through the "Thought Fragment" project, he coded his consciousness into a logic core and spread that logic core across nine different vessels, with one being Lycurgus. This results in his disappearance from the public eye.[11][15]
  • 1158 AE~ — According to a legend of the Masked Fools, when Aha climbed to the highest branch on the Imaginary Tree, they saw the cold and bleak truth of the universe. As they continued to search for a meaning to all things, they saw a baby fall and cry out in distress. This brought Aha so much joy that they burst into laughter, ascending as the Aeon of Elation.[16][Note 2]
    • Aha's laugh tears through the universe, leaving behind Echoes of Primordial Laughter throughout the cosmos.[17]
  • Aha steals the concept of "Aftertaste" from the Path of Voracity, causing all creations of the Voracity to lose their taste buds.[18]
  • 1168 AE — Akivili establishes the star rail network between worlds.[19]
  • ~1387 AE — Louis Fleming and Dongfang Qixing reform the support team, turning it into the Interastral Peace Corporation.[20]
    • The IPC introduces Credits as the universal currency.[20]

Unknown Time Period

Swarm Disaster

  • A leader of an army set his sights on the Lepismat System, aiming to find his "lost self," by expanding his conquest there.[24]
    • After slaughtering numerous insects in Lepismat, the leader establishes the Realm of Elydichna.[25][26][27]
    • At the same time, a leader of a group of Bounty Hunters claimed to have gained "insight" from nightmarish visions, insisting on embarking on an insect hunt at the Lepismat Plains.[28]
  • A conflict sparks between the Elydichnan army and the bounty hunters. Using the Coleoptera for war, this conflict drives the Coleoptera of Lepismat to extinction.[29]
  • Driven by an intense loneliness from being the last of its species, Tayzzyronth ascends as the Aeon of Propagation by splitting the Path of Permanence from the fallen Long. Ena watches as events on Lepismat unfold.[29][30]
  • Tayzzyronth began to self-replicate, creating children known as the The Swarm.[31]
    • Countless planetary systems across the cosmos becomes the breeding ground of the Swarm, declaring the beginning of the Swarm Disaster.[23]
  • When the spreading of the Swarm reached its peak, Oroboros began to swallow the numerous heirs of Tayzzyronth along with countless worlds, provoking a war between the two Aeons. Ena observes from a distance as the war swallows up two-thirds of life in the universe.[32][33]
  • Tayzzyronth's unending Propagation causes the concept of Propagation to expand, threatening the Paths of Order, Equilibrium, and Trailblaze[34]
    • The Path of Order also reached its peak, as people pray towards Ena.[35]
  • Ena, disgusted by the chaos sparked by the divine war,[36] sends an invitation to Qlipoth the Preservation to settle the war. Qlipoth promises to fulfill THEIR part and help seal with Tayzzyronth and Oroboros.[37]
    • Ena is unable to fulfill THEIR part of the deal, as Xipe ascended as the Aeon of Harmony around this time and assimilated Ena due to THEIR overlapping Paths.[38]
  • Oroboros vanishes during the last phase of the war for unknown reasons.[39][40]
  • With the efforts of HooH, Akivili, Aha, and Xipe, Qlipoth ultimately deals the fatal blow against Tayzzyronth. Using THEIR hammer, Qlipoth rips apart Tayzzyronth's form and diluted the Path of Propagation, stripping it of its power. Afterwards, Qlipoth imprisoned THEIR remains in amber to prevent any chance to return.[40][41]
  • Capy Baba is appointed as the Astral Express' Navigator as the Swarm Disaster nears its end.[42]

Post-Swarm Disaster

  • When Sam-3000's machinery completely wore out and was no longer replaceable, she passed on her position, with the expectation of a "Great Trailblazing Era."[47]

Primeval Imperium Era

The Primeval Imperium Era is marked as the time before the Xianzhou ships departed their ancient planet.

  • The Primeval Imperium Emperor becomes fixated on acquiring an elixir of immortality after obtaining miraculous recipes from Wingweaver magicians and constructs a fleet of nine ships.[49]

Lone Voyage Era

The Lone Voyage Era is marked as the start of the Xianzhou civilization after the nine ships departed their planet. According to ancient ship logbooks in the Intelligentsia Guild, the dates could be traced back to seven millennia ago if converted to Amber Era calculations.[50]

  • 0 SC — The Xianzhou Alliance leaves its home world with the nine initial ships to seek out Yaoshi the Abundance, referred to as the Sanctus Medicus at the time, for immortality.[50][48]
  • ~1000 SC — The Xianzhou Alliance witnesses the almighty barrier separating the world from the endless void: the Echidna Skywall, also known as the Celestial Comet Wall, being built by the Aeon Qlipoth.[48] They also made contact with the IPC around this time, which influenced the people's beliefs.[51]
  • ~1400 SC — The Xianzhou people wrest control of the ships from the Aurumatons.[48]
  • ~1700 SCLan is born according to historical records, contradicting the Reignbow origin myth.[48]
  • The Xianzhou first came into contact with the Heliobi. The Heliobi penetrated the ships' vaults to appear before the Xianzhou aristocrats, declaring themselves a shapeless and rootless race, beseeching Xianzhou to give them a safe berth. The species were adept at creating mirages and illusions to tempt humans. Thus, the people of Xianzhou became addicted to these wondrous creatures of pure energy and indulged in frolicking with them.[49]
  • Instigated by the Flint Emperor,[53] the Heliobi soon exposed their true colors as the they tried to take humans' bodies, drain their emotions, and control their will, starting the Possession Tragedy and the Heliobi Wars of possession. The Xianzhou Zhuming suffered the greatest.[49]
  • During the Heliobi Wars, the Heliobi form a red micro-star in an attempt to capture the Xianzhou fleet. The suicide squad, led by the Reignbow, disassemble and weaponize the ship's auxiliary engines to fight the Heliobi. The Xianzhou's suicide squad send the weaponized auxiliary engine straight into the red star formed by the Heliobi, causing it to undergo early decay and implode into a black hole.[48]
  • At the end of the Heliobi Wars, The Xianzhou artisans ultimately bound the Heliobi within shapeless prisons and sentenced them to provide energy for Xianzhou for all eternity. The defeated Heliobi leader, the Flint Emperor, is imprisoned and sentenced to serve as the power source for the Xianzhou Zhuming for the rest of their eternal life.[48]
  • Aha, using multiple Panarch Elwoods, sealed the remains of Oroboros beneath them, creating multiple kinds of "Phantasmoon Games".[18][Assumption 4]

Theophany Era

The Theophany Era is the Xianzhou's "golden age" that started after the manifestation of the Ambrosial Arbor ~6000 years ago.[54][55]

  • 2605 SC — At the end of the year, the Xianzhou Luofu introduces its Yellowjacket Census and Almanac, advising of all death revitalizations on Xianzhou for this year.[56]
  • July, 2606 SC — The Xianzhou fleet sails into the Connant-Farrell star system.[56]
  • April, 2607 SC — Homeostasis is completely paralyzed in three of the Xianzhou Xuling's delves, delivering catastrophic flooding, mass deaths, and uncountable losses. The Xuling nobles order grain transfer and opened state coffers for the rescue effort. Each Xianzhou dispatches reinforcements, and a new lease on life was won.[56]
  • December, 2607 SC — The Xianzhou Yaoqing, the Xianzhou Zhuming, and the Xianzhou Fanghu all introduced their own Yellowjacket Census and Almanacs, advising of all death revitalizations on Xianzhou for this year.[56]
  • June, 2610 SC — The Xianzhou Luofu holds a celebration in search of endless lifespans, granting amnesties and reveling in wine for 30 days. Each Xianzhou dispatches delegations to celebrate together.[56]
  • The Xianzhou experiments with the Arbor's fruit, "elevating" animals to the point of mimicking human sentience and speech.[48]
  • Changhuan turned mara-struck, eating his guests during his thousandth birthday party and exploded, leaving behind wriggling pieces of flesh.[54]
    • More events of people turning mara-struck start rising, like the Red Ragelord in the Zhuming, the Bone Palace of the Xuling, and the Bloodbath Tomb of the Yuque.
    • Public outrage and riots from the coarse continued to rise, but the immortal venerable ignored them, until the coarse got turned into mara-struck, sparking the end of the Theophany Era and the start of the Age of the Null.

Three Sufferings Era

The Three Sufferings Era start with the Civil War of the Xianzhou Alliance, also known as the Living Catastrophe of the Three Sufferings.[48]

  • May, 3061 SC — The coarse riots on the Xianzhou Yuque and is suppressed by nobility.[56]
  • April-July, 3062 SC — The Xianzhou Yuque coarse rebels two times, and the nobles suppress them both times.[56]
  • August, 3063 SC — A businessman is assassinated aboard the Yaoqing, plunging everyone into turmoil.[56]
  • November, 3063 SC — The coarse rebels again, attacking and killing elites. Troops later quell the riot.[56]
  • February, 3198 SC — The Xianzhou fleet was embroiled in chaos. The coarse master messaged each ship in denouncement and launched an assault on the Xianzhou Zhuming, holing up in a delve with an expeditionary force to fight against the nobles.[56]

First Mechanical Emperor's War and Borderstar Trade War

  • The Interastral Peace Corporation went through a reorganization through the efforts of the collaboration between the two IPC executives, Korapao of the Cargo Division and Telora Farnsha from the Trade Division, that would result in a mass expansion.[43]
  • First moment of Nous' calculation — Conflict began to build up between Korapao and Telora Farnsha, leading to the Borderstar Trade War.[57]
  • De Wayne saw the chance to occupy, colonize, and expropriate inorganic worlds. He started mercenaries to form an armed organization, and joined the war.[58][59]
  • During Louis Fleming's retiring speech, Fuli made THEIR first appearance to the Interastral Peace Corporation and gave memories of the Borderstar Trade War. The Candelagraphos wrote down three paragraphs about the memories, forming three revelations.[60]
    • Nous' calculation: The universe will undergo three unchangeable moments.
    • Finality's prediction: A silk accessory suitable for women will bring about the end.
    • Enigmata's riddle: THEY leave no question, but the answers are "blood" and "flower."
    • The Intelligentsia Guild was eventually able to track down the origins of each of these memories.
  • Dongfang Qixing, co-founder of the IPC, formed an alliance with Genius Society member #4 Polka Kakamond, boosting her political power.[61]
  • Rubert I and the Machine Empire used brute force against organic life. During the wars, the Tottonids were eradicated by organic creatures for siding with the Mechas.[62]
  • Rubert I fell into slumber for unknown reasons.[63]
  • Enroute created the golden branches that gave whoever touched it the Midas touch.[64]
    • It eventually landed in the Laurel Wreath galaxy, where it caused a 100-year long war.
  • Second moment of Nous' calculation — A group of followers of the Trailblaze awakened Rubert I, activating the equation and corrupting the minds of inorganic beings to obey the emperor's goals of eradicate organic beings from the universe, sparking the First Emperor's War.[63]
  • According to Rubert I's equation, the Philosopher Union that controlled Laurel Wreath was certain to be destroyed, so the equation led the inorganic lives in the galaxy to spark a civil war against the organics.[65][Translation Error 1]
    • Every organic member of the parliament was killed, only leaving their leader Aurelius, to be imprisoned then executed by lethal poisoning as humiliation for being the sole representative and leader of all living beings in Laurel Wreath.[66]
    • Afterwards, planets of Laurel Wreath were reduced to the domain of inorganic life.[65]
    • Enroute rioted against the Machine Empire by developing a troll virus called "Philosopher's Poison" and infected Rubert's computer systems.[64][67]
  • Enroute found out about the remains of Oroboros, and planned to use Aha to deal with THEM.[64][18]
    • Eventually, he lost his smile, and believed the Elation had fallen.
  • November 21, 3287 SC — Heavily damaged by the Xianzhou Civil War, the Xianzhou Yuanqiao plunges into a red giant, killing over 130 billion people.[50][56]
  • December, 3287 SC — The Aurumatons of the Xianzhou led revolt under the influence of the Anti-Organic Equation.[56]
    • February, 3288 SC — Both sides of the Xianzhou Civil War agree to a ceasefire to join forces to defeat the Aurumatons.[50]
    • May, 3290 SC — Zhige, the master primus of the aurumaton, led a force of brave fighters aboard the Xianzhou Yaoqing. The combined forces teamed up and launched an offensive operation, smashing them to smithereens.
    • July, 3292 SC — All of the homeless aurumatons were herded into the arsenal and dealt with. This suppression marked the end of the aurumaton rebellion.
  • August, 3300 SC — The Xianzhou fleet together drafted the Treaty of Harmony, defining laws and punishments, promoting loyalty, and supporting the needy. Order was gradually restored, just as in the legend of the great unification during the Primeval Imperium days. A policy on reproduction and settlements was also drafted, allowing any of the eight ships to settle on fertile planets unpopulated by short-life species to build self-sustaining colonies.[56]
  • Korapao hired Professor Cressitra to make a synthetic Anti-Organic Equation.[57]
    • Professor Cressitra was betrayed by Associate No.3, and believed that Korapao approved of the decision. So they decided to blow up a long-distance vessel made for Korapao, which resulted in a grave Spice Ordeal happening at Temptra which was under Farnsha's supervision.[57]
    • Korapao was forced to cut tied with Farnsha and fend for their own in the Emperor's War. Due to this, Korapao ordered his men to inject the synthetic Equation to avail themselves to the benefit of inorganic life.[57]
  • De Wayne reached the peak of Broadened Cognition, and saw a large amount of wealth and resources on the peak of a mountain, and on that mountain laid a cast iron throne. After he went on his journey to the throne, he went for a break. There, Mythus interfered and made him hallucinate. The hallucination was about him reaching for a wealth guardian, yet always failing when he was so close. This interaction was said to feel like eternity.[58] Due to this, he lost his mind and died.[68]
  • Third moment of Nous' calculation — Polka Kakamond killed Rubert I with a scalpel despite HooH and Mythus' effort to change its fate, ending the First Emperor's War.[69]
  • Farnsha won the Borderstar Trade War. It is said that Farnsha placed a white flower by Korapao's grave.[68][58]

Second Prosperity

  • ~1500 AE — A few planets ascended to become bustling interstellar hubs, signaling the onset of the Second Prosperity termed the "Gloryblood Era."[70]

Three Sufferings Era

  • ~3400 SC — The "Flaming Catastrophe," one of the Three Sufferings of the Era of Bloodshed. The Xianzhou Alliance encounters Muldrasil feeding off nearby stars. Muldrasil began to approach the Xianzhou Luofu and war broke out as a result.[48]
    • Fatigued from the Civil War, the aurumaton rebellion, and their emigration plan, all the prisoners in cryo-hibernation are released to counter the invasion — including the Reignbow.
    • The Reignbow heads into the prison deep within the Xianzhou Zhuming to persuade the imprisoned Heliobi leader, the Flint Emperor, to help the Xianzhou fight off the Denizens of Abundance.
    • The Reignbow and the the Flint Emperor make a deal, allowing the Flint Emperor to possess their physical body, in exchange for the power of the Heliobi.
    • Inspired by the Reignbow's sacrifice, the Xianzhou residents make the same deal, forming suicide squads and marching alongside the Heliobi. This is the origin of the name "Cloud Knights."
    • The ships of the Xianzhou Alliance enters battle formation in this order, from the nearest to Muldrasil to the furthest: the Yaoqing, the Luofu, the Yuque, the Zhuming, the Fanghu, the Cangcheng, and the Xuling.
    • Empowered by the Flint Emperor, the Reignbow shoots a Sky-Shattering Lux Arrow from the bow of the Yaoqing, using their famed bow "Xuanyuan", causing great casualties among even the furthest ships, the Xuling and Fanghu. The arrow smashes into the Ambrosial Arbor, penetrating Muldrasil, and severing the connection between the Luofu and Muldrasil, turning the tide of the war against the Abundance legions.
    • After the battle, the Reignbow disappears and the seven ships gathered with a Xuling messenger to authenticate, share content, and review the details. This declaration is the final product, hereby creating the Xianzhou Alliance.[67][56]

Crisis of Belief

  • Numerous sects were created in the Xianzhou that believed in other beings.[51]
    • The Wisdom Sect, following Nous.
    • The Firmamend Sect, following Qlipoth. This stemmed from the influence of the IPC during the first millenium of the Xianzhou's voyage.
    • The Old Disciples of Sanctus Medicus, following Yaoshi.
    • The Homeward Sect, following the Primeval Imperium Emperor.
    • The Flint Emperor Sect, following the Flint Emperor.
    • The Reignbow Sect, following the hero Reignbow.
  • Following the destruction of the Denizens of Abundance's territory by the divine arrow, the people of Xianzhou came to realize that the Reignbow Arbiter truly existed. The Divination Commission, followed by the IPC, the Intelligentsia Guild, and the other sects, acknowledged that Lan ascended as the Aeon of The Hunt[51]
  • From a fringe group, the Reignbow Sect transformed into a popular sect that could compete with the Firmamend Sect almost overnight. The subsequent conflict that transpired was not a religious one, but one to determine the future path of Xianzhou. The Firmamend Sect insisted on abiding by the Firmamend Arbiter's will and was strongly against Xianzhou's involvement in the war with the Denizens of Abundance. The Reignbow Sect opined that hiding and defending is not enough to fend off the Denizens of Abundance. For the survival of the Alliance, only by following the path of The Hunt and cleansing the enemy could the future be secured.[51]
  • Following consecutive victorious expeditions and the numerous appearances of the Reignbow, the Reignbow Sect slowly gained traction among the people.[51]
  • After a mass exodus from their home world, the Vidyadhara join the Xianzhou Alliance.[51]
  • The Foxians leave their home world of Verdantia and join the Xianzhou Alliance. After the Foxians joined the Alliance, many of them who wished to rebuild their homeland, the Verdantia Sect, merged with the Homeward Sect.[51]
  • 4100 SC — Lan becomes the undisputed main Aeon of the Xianzhou Alliance, ending the Crisis of Belief and the Three Sufferings Era.[51]

Second Mechanical Emperor's War

  • A human visited Rubert I's grave and solved the Anti-Organic Equation, but refused to activate it. However, bad thoughts began to occur not only in his mind, but also his limbs and torso. Eventually, he became convinced that all organic lives were machines made for deceptive purposes and swore to carry on Rubert I's mission to eradicate all organic lives, declaring himself Rubert II.[71]
  • Rubert II rewrites the Anti-Organic Equation, creates the Scepter system to imitate Nous, and initiates the Second Mechanical Emperor's War.[72][73]
  • During his Self-Coronation to create a Knowledge Singularity, Polka Kakamond kills him, ending the Second Emperor's War.[74][75]
    • This made the Scepters lose their ability to communicate and produce instantaneous decisions.[76]
  • At the end of the war, the IPC spent vast amounts of credits to repeatedly appraise Rubert II's remains. Only to discover that Rubert II was an organic being.[77]
  • 2053 AE — Roy Hampton was executed, likely for his involvement with The Cremators.[78]

Interstellar Energy War

  • The Interstellar Energy War commences due to an Energy Crisis.[79]
  • The Technology Department of the IPC focuses on resolving the Interstellar Energy War. The department made the "Perpetual Motion Project" to capture imaginary energy and use it. However, this project was a failure, and turned into a weapon of war.[80][81]
  • The IPC invested massive funds to supercharge the progress of the Intelligentsia Guild's breakthrough developments in multiple fields, including drilling, energy storage, and detection in order to achieve the goal of developing a new energy source.[77][82]

Scholars' Strife

  • The School of Interstellar Energy Resources proposes that 95% of the computational power should be used to solve the four Cosmic Conundrums.[83]
  • In Patavia's numerous experiments, no matter which laboratory she was relocated at, an unknown signal always appearing every thirteen minutes.[84] Eventually succeeding in the research review, she was granted a ten-thousandth of the Scepter's computational power.[85] However, it was revoked after Mollett sabotaged her experiments.[76][86]
  • 2058 AE — Seeing Patavia's situation, the realization that the major schools of the Intelligentsia Guild's allocation of the Scepters was a lie sparked the Scholars' Strife.[87][88]
  • Scholar Crouch Omno synthesizes an Anti-Organic Virus, and was let loose before being quelled at the cost of destroying 122 Scepters. As a result, the School of Evolutionary Perfection dissolved. Polka Kakamond shows up during the chaos, and kills the people infected by the virus.[89][90]
  • A protest takes place in Izmael, fighting against the corruption the Intelligentsia Guild has shown, and requesting the equal distribution of the Scepters to everyone. This was quelled by the Armed Archaeologists using their non-lethal Suppression Weapons.[91]
  • Patavia finally ascertains the signal as a solitary wave and originates from Nous.[92][93]
  • Going to the origin, she discovers the core of the Scepters, Rubert's "Iron Throne". She connects her mind to the core, and all Scepters reform into a complete nervous system, ready to serve her as their new ruler, but doesn't crown herself because she thinks she is unworthy. Instead, she peers into the thoughts of Nous, being unable to comprehend THEIR thoughts and being unable to answer. She grabs an iron sheet and notes down what she is learning, and notes down a formula. This formula would become the Solitary Waves Theory.[94][95]
    • Because of this, the Scepters become paralyzed level by level as Nous' thoughts leak out. The system would become completely overrun and crippled by questions from the scholars, turning the system into junk.[94][95]
    • Nous the Erudition unexpectedly terminated THEIR calculations regarding the mysteries of the universe when the era draws its end.[70]
  • Scepter δ-me13 continues to calculate Nous's query to it: "What is the prime mover of life?"[72][96]
  • The Interstellar Energy War ends during this period.

Unknown Time Period

  • After the Second Emperor's War, Adlivun is met with the remnants of The Swarm.
    • Akivili visited Adlivun when it was still fighting a war with The Swarm.[97]
  • Oakley was raised on a ranch with her mother and father and spent her time growing up learning how to shoot. One day, while Oakley was young, a bounty hunter from afar comes to her home and challenges her father to a duel to the death at high noon. The bounty hunter's skill left a strong impression on her after the hunter kills her father, which quickly turned into a lifelong obsession to get revenge. Using the skills she developed as a child, Oakley set out to become a bounty hunter in an attempt to find him.[98][99]
    • She begins to take jobs in remote and far off locations in hopes of running into the hunter.
    • Oakley quickly became known as the Wild Wheat, and gained a reputation among her fellow bounty hunters as someone who was thoughtless, expressionless, and leaving her opponents with no hope, something she resented.
  • Oakley boards the Astral Express with her own destination in mind, and no intention of joining the Crew.[100]
    • While the Astral Express was journeying close to the border frontier planet of Frati, the former Navigator and passengers all vanished mysteriously due to an anomaly. At the request of the conductor, Oakley temporarily assumes the position of Navigator.
    • After approximately six months and two days of serving as Navigator and gathering a sufficient number of new passengers, Oakley leaves the Express, making her the shortest serving Nameless Navigator.
  • Dolly, a musician from Tiafoe, drew inspiration from the achievements of Akivili and joined the Astral Express crew to write a ballad dedicated to the Trailblaze.[101]
    • In her active period, many passengers boarded the Astral Express just to listen to Dolly's voice, even including Akivili THEMSELF, who returned to the Express to personally speak to her.[101]

Post-Second Prosperity

  • Due to his cursed boots, Enroute, now known as Isee, joined the Astral Express Crew, wanting to save Elation.[64][102]
  • Around this time, Akivili suddenly disappears.[101]
  • When The Nameless sensed the fall of Akivili, Dolly began to crystallize. After singing continuously for three days, she hands over her position as Navigator to Isee.[101]
    • Many factions within the Path of Trailblaze begin to turn against each other to take the position of the next Navigator. To resolve this, Isee invited the Nameless to play a game. He assigned random missions to the Nameless, and slowly, they all began to die off.[64][103]

Unknown Time Period

  • 2104 AE — Fomenko, a Candelagraphos scribe, obtains a mute parrot.[104]
    • The parrot lives for less than a decade, and after its death, Fomenko makes quills out of its feathers.
    • For a whole Amber Era, Fomenko preserved many ancient documents on the verge of being lost with these quills.
    • 2105 AE — Fomenko passes away and many mourn her death. It wasn't until people went over Fomenko's legacy that they finally realized that the scribe had been writing nothing but lies with her quills.[104]
  • 4800 SC — The Five Lineages of the Vidyadhara made an alliance on the Yuque, putting their sacred vow into writing.[105]
  • 5320 SC — The Yuque Divination Commission witnesses the total destruction of Muldrasil by the Antimatter Legion.[49]
  • Yueyan, the Foxian Helm Master of the Xianzhou Yaoqing's Sky-Faring Commission, left his position after witnessing the destruction of Muldrasil as the Alliance stood by. Yueyan's belief was shaken and he decided to re-think the long-life species' duty and purpose in life, driving a Starskiff to roam the stellar seas in search of an answer.[106]
  • On the ancient planet of Rahu, Yueyan found an Emanator of the Plagues Author — a living entity called Shuhu. Yueyan witnessed how Shuhu granted life back to Rahu, which had long ago become a dead planet. He followed Shuhu and recorded their healing miracles and various teachings, ultimately composing the Divine Scripture of the Secrets and Miracles of Shuhu's Manifestations. He became the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus' first master primus.[106]
  • 2131 AE — Xuange Observation Station reported detecting Lan destroying the planet of Xuange from 62 light years away.[107]
  • 2145 AE — Word has it that when the winner of that year's Phantasmoon Games was announced, "The Carefree" was asleep, and Aha went to go to her apartment and woke her up. Ever since then, day and night in the World in Canvas is permanently out of sync.[109]

    • This was also the time that Zongguang met Yewliho. As a cultural anthropologist, they were ordered to interview the 127 borisin, in order to deepen the Xianzhou's understanding of borisin society. Throughout the course of their research, Yewliho and Zongguang developed a deep friendship.
    • Because of her hatred towards Kobo, Yewliho always hoped that she would be able to lead her Preta to fight for the Alliance. However, a request like this was unlikely to receive approval. Yewliho made this request again and again and was rejected every time.[170]

    • After defeating the Swarm, Glamoth's ruling council deemed Titania a threat and decided to have her restrained, as she had control over the Iron Cavalry and was beginning to rebel against her captivity.[184]
    • Through unknown means, Glamoth's civilization came to an end, with debris from warships, Iron Cavalry and Swarm corpses blotting out the sun.[185]

Notes

  1. This placement is based on the fact that in Honkai Impact 3rd, Part 2, Chapter 9: If Destiny Concludes Today, Nahralab, a Scion of Permanence, died at least a billion years ago, meaning that Long unraveled the revelation at least a billion years ago, which led to the creation of Scions.
  2. According to Ruan Mei in Trailblaze Mission Arcadia of Mystery and Terror, Aha was active over a thousand Amber Eras ago, making the range of THEIR date of ascension around the start of the First Prosperity.
  3. The numbering of the Genius Society seats has been commonly correlated with the order in which the members joined, meaning Elias Salas should be the #56 member of the Genius Society. However, the Synesthesia Beacon was invented during a time that precedes the #27 member, Rubert I, meaning there might be something more to the numbering besides the order of acceptance.
  4. The recipes from the Wingweavers was a product of Yaoshi's influence, meaning that Yaoshi was active before the Primeval Imperium Era.
  5. The three Nameless participated in the War of Independence and would have had to be under Falcon Amundsen.
  6. While Oswaldo was callled a "director" back in 2156 AE, he wasn't leading the Marketing Development Department, up until the two years before the birth of Aventurine in Sigonia.
  7. The mysterious entity has similar design elements to Aha, but they refer to Aha in the third-person, which Aha has not been shown to do while talking in the Simulated Universe.
  8. During If We Spoke in Laughter, Fulwish was said to be sixteen years old around the Herald of Death incident. Because Himeko was her senior, she had to have at least been a year older. As Himeko was six when Asat Pramad replaced her father, the replacement likely happened around the Arcadian Calendar Year 1974.
  9. This placement is based on dialogue in The Comedy of Errors where it is implied that Motoko existed when Himeko discovered the Astral Express.

Translation Error

  1. While referred to as a galaxy in English, the original Chinese text refers to it as a star system (Chinese: 月桂冠系 Yuèguìguàn Xì, "Laurel Wreath System").

Lore Discrepancies

  1. According to Sunday in Trailblaze Mission The Public Enemy, the Stellaron that descended during the War of Independence became the Penacony Grand Theater, which Gopher Wood manipulated. This is contradicted by the statement of Sunday in Finality Mission Omen in the Trees, which says that the Stellaron was hidden within Oak Manor, meaning it never was the Penacony Grand Theater itself. Due to the nature of the Finality Mission Memories are the Prelude to Dreams as a complementary piece of Penacony's lore and the "true ending" of Penacony's storyline, the statement in the Finality Mission holds more credibility.
  2. 2.0 2.1 This conflicts with Himeko's other backstory regarding the Astral Express, in which she says that she saw the Express crash upon Planarcadia. Due to the Data Bank and Himeko herself opposing this backstory, along with the context that after Granholm, the "tale of the Astral Express quietly slipped into obscurity," the story about the Express crashing before Himeko was born is more credible.

Editor's Assumptions

  1. This is assuming that the early Aeons had not yet granted anyone the status of an Emanator or that Emanators at the time were extremely rare that they were not yet known.
  2. This is assuming that the cast iron throne is tied to Erudition, which was only defined after Nous' ascension. This is also based on the era before Zandar was able to create his own non-organic bodies, implying that non-organic lives existed before or close to the First Prosperity.
  3. This placement is based on Kafka's line in Trailblaze Mission Wood Sprouts Anew, Fate Tilts Askew in the chapter Windswept Wanderlust in which she lists the Aeons that have "disappeared." The order in which she says the names are seemingly in the order of their death, as confirmed with Ena disappearing before Tayzzyronth, and Akivili disappearing after. Idrila was before Tayzzyronth's death, and there were no signs of the Beauty during the Swarm Disaster.
  4. This is assuming that Yaoshi planted multiple Ambrosial Arbors at the same time. This event was placed here because it had to precede two events: The first known case of the Phantasmoon Games, and Isee's time as the Navigator of the Astral Express.
