A Futurological Congress is an event held by the Intelligentsia Guild.
Description
A Futurological Congress is where the many schools in the Intelligentsia Guild gather to debate and vote to settle large matters within the guild. These congresses are usually held on the planet Sipohia, considered the planet of fairness and debate.[1]
History
After the end of the Second Mechanical Emperor's War, the Intelligentsia Guild needed to decide what to do with the Rubert II's legacy - the Scepter System. They decided to hold a Futurological Congress on Sipohia to put it to a vote. In the end, the School of Interstellar Energy Resources proposed that 95％ of the computational power of the Sceptors be put towards the four sufficiently grand Cosmic Conundrums - Energy Source, Life, Integration, and Future. The majority of the Scholars agreed to this proposal.[1][2]
The results of this congress would eventually lead to a realization that the Intelligentsia Guild was putting a monopoly on the Scepters, resulting in the Scholars' Strife.[3]
