Founding

The Stellaron Hunters were founded by a mysterious individual known as Elio, who promised each of the members a specific reward for assisting him.^[1]

The oldest known member that Elio recruited was a human named Kafka from Pteruges-V, using a publicly posted message in which he declared that the reader would have the future they yearn for realized. The message told the reader to head to an abandoned building, find a can on the ground and throw it. He foresaw two outcomes; either Kafka would investigate the drink, or ignore it and the reader would die. Kafka persumably investigated the drink, and the reader threw a ball at her feet. Elio then talked with her, and Kafka ultimately agreed to join Elio after he promised her the ability to feel fear.^[2][1] She later became his second-in-command.^[3]

At some point, Elio gave Kafka the Trailblazer and told her to take care of them, teaching them general knowledge, combat and common sense.^[1] Elio foresaw that they would be destined to face the Aeon of Destruction, Nanook, and that they would change Kafka's life.^[4]

Sometime later, the Iron Cavalry solider, AR-26710 was fighting remnants of The Swarm when she caused an explosion which destroyed a planet and put her into a coma.^[5] She was chosen by Elio to be the last survivor of the Nihility.^[6] When she woke up later, Kafka and the Trailblazer had rescued her from the depths of space and offered her to join the group.^[7][8] Now going by Firefly, she was promised a cure to her Entropy Loss Syndrome^[9] and the meaning of life.^[10] Alongside Elio's promise, the Trailblazer promised Firefly that because the two of them will head to different endings, they will grant her a daydream more beautiful than any ending.^[6]

After Firefly's recruitment, Elio heard of a cursed man from the Xianzhou Luofu and sent Kafka and Firefly (now going as Sam) to recruit him. The man, Blade, was initially resistant, forcing Firefly to tire and restrain him down while Kafka talked to him. After learning that Elio could grant him death from his immortality, Blade agreed to join the group.^[11]

Finally, the group heard of a hacker from Punklorde, named Silver Wolf, and arrived on the planet to meet her in person. Having expected their arrival, Silver Wolf promptly accepted their invitation.^[12][13]

The Trailblazer would work with the Stellaron Hunters for many missions, and was one of the few who followed them for so long and lived to tell the tale.^[1] During one script, the group was nearly put in danger but was ultimately saved by the Trailblazer's quick thinking. Due to this incident, the group decided use the passphrase "Three of a kind, Two pair and Ace." to signal a retreat under dire circumstances.^[14]

The Stellaron Hunters would eventually clash with the Interastral Peace Corporation, who placed many bounties on its members for their crimes against peace. Despite the animosity, they have a good credit record with them.^[15]

Present

Herta Space Station

• Elio hands a script to Kafka and Silver Wolf to infiltrate the Herta Space Station and implant a Stellaron in the recently mindwiped Trailblazer.
  • Silver Wolf drew the attention of a small Antimatter Legion squad to cause mayhem on the Space Station, and they planted the Stellaron inside them beore leaving.^[16] They had anticipated the Astral Express Crew would come to the station's aid, and they did, discovering an amnesiac Trailblazer who joined the group.^[17] During the events of Amphoreus the Trailblazer’s growing connection to Remembrance allowed them to recover the memories from when the initially awoke.
    • Foreseeing this, Kafka had told the unconscious Trailblaze of the Theory of Four Apocalypses, which stated that four Paths would push the cosmos to its end. She states that the Trailblaze was destined to encounter each Path along their journey. These paths involved Destruction, Harmony, Nihility and a fourth unknown Path which had yet to fully reveal itself.^[18]
  • Silver Wolf additionally attempted to steal the curio Punklorde Mentality from Herta, but Herta and Screwllum, having sensed she would try to do so, moved the curio to a secure location. Deciding that they would no longer enable her, he revealed that the cartridge on the shuttle and in her possession were duplicates. Herta additionally reverse-hacked all of Silver Wolf's accounts, resulting in them being banned by the IPC. Silver Wolf was left frustrated by the turn of events and would try to get the accounts unbanned, while Kafka and Blade were busy with another script.^[19]

The Xianzhou Luofu

• Elio hands a script to Kafka, Blade and Silver Wolf for the Luofu. This script is meant to give the Astral Express more allies in their inevitable conflict with Nanook.
  • While inside, Blade is captured by the Cloud Knights due to being a mara-struck known as Yingxing.
  • Kafka and Blade head to the Luofu while Silver Wolf hacks the ship's gates so the Astral Express could enter.^[20] Kafka also contacts the Astral Express, telling them of a Stellaron crisis on the Luofu and that they sought to clear their names. Though skeptical of her motives, the crew agree to investigate.^[21]
  • The Astral Express are questioned by the Luofu over their arrival, who task them to capture Kafka to prove they were not colluding with them.
  • Fu Xuan uses the Matrix of Prescience Ultima to glean into Kafka's mind, learning why they had come to the Luofu.^[22][23] The Trailblazer was then given the charge to interrogate Kafka, and learnt of their purpose of facing Nanook. By chance, the Ambrosial Arbor suddenly awakened and Kafka was freed by a recently freed Blade.^[4]
  • Dan Heng, who had remained behind, realizes that Blade is on the Luofu and could pose a threat to his friends. He confronts Blade and runs into Yanqing at the same time. In the three-way battle^{[20] [24]}, Blade pierces Dan Heng, revealing his Imbibitor Lunae form. Realizing two criminals were on the Luofu, Yanqing tries to apprehend both but the duo work together to defeat him. Kafka then arrives and uses her Spirit Whisper to deescalate the situation.
  • Kafka and Blade hide in the Alchemy Commission and she texts the Trailblazer to assist her as she was using Spirit Whisper on him to erase his memories and keep his mara-struck in check. The Trailblazer arrives and could either help or refuse.
    • If the Trailblazer assisted her, Kafka would talk about their past to them in a game of truth or lies. Yanqing would eventually discover them and attempted to apprehend both once again, but is defeated and sent away by Kafka's Spirit Whisper. Kafka thanks the Trailblazer, as he would've apprehended both, requiring both Firefly and Silver Wolf to intervene and would have irreparably damaged the Stellaron Hunters' relationship with the Xianzhou Alliance.
    • Blade recovers and decides to remain on the Luofu to see a person that he is greatly indebted to, much to Kafka's surprise as it was not mentioned in the script.^[1]
  • Blade meets up with the person, revealed to be Jingliu, who also invited the rest of the remaining High-Cloud Quintet for a final meeting before she would be shackled and tried.
    • He demands a rematch with Jingliu in spite of her telling him that she could not kill him. Blade "dies" to her before he is revived, much to his disappointment. After the group departs, he returns to the Stellaron Hunters.^[25]

Penacony

• Elio hands a script to Silver Wolf and Firefly for Penacony. Firefly's script would have her "die" three times and obtain many memories in the process.
  • Silver Wolf hires Sparkle to help keep Firefly safe in the Dreamscape.^[26]
  • Due to her nature a genetically altered human, Firefly had to enter Penacony's Dreamscape through alternate means. She does so at the cost of no longer being able to dream again, resulting in her first "death."^[6]
  • In preparation for the Trailblazer's arrival to Amphoreus, she also commissions Constance to burn away some of the Trailblazer's memories, as having them around would attract the Destruction earlier than intended and result in their death. The method to restoring them is left to her as there would be no problems.^[6]
    • Constance asks Silver Wolf if she could join the group, but Silver Wolf declines, as Elio foresaw that if she did, she would end up becoming a Lord Ravager known as "Ephemera," destroying the Remembrance and then the universe.^[27]
  • Firefly catches up with the Trailblazer at Golden Hour, but keeps her true identity a secret from them. She arrives at the Primordial Dreamscape and encounters the memetic entity Something Unto Death, obtaining glimpses of Dreamflux Reef through its eyes. She is seemingly saved by Black Swan, but is later revealed to be Constance, who planted false memories in her and made her believe she was also a Stellaron Hunter.^[28]
    • Working together, the two discover Gopher Wood's "darkest secret," in which he killed Firefly's friend, AR-214.^[29]
    • Firefly also encounters Acheron, an Emanator of Nihility, who was not mentioned in Elio's script. ^[30] Because she saw Acheron as a threat, she went to separate Acheron from the Trailblazer and reveal the nature of "Something Unto Death" in Penacony, but was "killed" early and was sent to Dreamflux Reef, thinking this was her "second death."^[6] She immediately returned as SAM, and successfully separated Acheron from the Trailblazer.^[29]
  • Firefly reveals her true identity to the Trailblazer and lends them her aid in defeating Sunday.^[31]
    • While the Astral Express fought him, Firefly discovered that Sunday and Gopher attempted to bring about a second Swarm Disaster in the Dreamscape, fighting the manifestation and the Stellaron in Penacony and absorbed it within her body, granting Firefly her true "second death." This only accelerated her Entropy Loss Syndrome in the dreamscape, leading to her "third death," and thus completing her script.
  • Seeing Firefly's regret in not witnessing the fireworks, the Trailblazer utilized the power of Finality and reversed time to give Firefly enough time witness the fireworks, fulfilling their promise with her. In reality, Firefly went into a coma once more.^[6]

Amphoreus

Although the Stellaron Hunters did not appear in the Amphoreus series, they have been keeping a close eye on it. According to Elio's scripts, Amphoreus was the safest option for the good of the cosmos. As Kafka remarked how the Aeons' gaze would soon fall on Amphoreus, Silver Wolf suggested catching up with them after the events in Penacony in the next stop.^[32]

When the time came for the Trailblazer to aid Cyrene in remembering all of Amphoreus, the memory of Kafka revealed the Trailblazer's purpose on Amphoreus: To teach Cyrene what love is, and face against Destruction through Irontomb. She revealed the two possibilities the Trailblazer will cause depending on their choice: The first one being that the Remembrance of Amphoreus would still fall towards Destruction, and the second being that Cyrene would treasure all that faded until the end of time, where the Remembrance would become the fourth kind of Finality.^[33]

After the Trailblazer regained their memories of Penacony with the aid of The Dahlia, Firefly also recovered from her injuries enough to wake up at the same time.^[6]

Planarcadia

• Elio hands a script to Blade and Silver Wolf. Blade's script is notably blank but related to "Death."
• Silver Wolf's script requires her to participate in the Phantasmoon Games, and she arranges for a meeting with the Synwish Syndicate under the alias "Xianzhou's Number One Assassin."
  • Yao Guang discovers this and intercepts the meeting by sending Tingyun, who also runs into Dan Heng and Sunday at the same time.
  • With the mask taken, Silver Wolf meets with Ashveil and tries to commission him into taking a mask for her, but the detective tries to hand her in to the IPC instead. Silver Wolf taps into his conversation with Pearl.
  • Silver Wolf meets Pearl at her office, asking for a mask to participate in the games. She convinces the Stoneheart by promising to teach her the secrets of imagenesis. Pearl agrees to her request, exposing her as a hologram (as she was actually talking to her while taking a bath) and takes one of her data slices so they can have more honest conversations.^[34]
• Silver Wolf and Blade meet up with both Dan Heng and Ashveil in two separate occasions.
  • In the meeting with Dan Heng, he informs Blade of the Xianzhou's arrival and that Yao Guang was looking for him, believing that Shuhu would use Blade's body to revive itself and destroy Planarcadia.
    • Dan Heng asks Blade not to interfere with his companions or the planet's well-being.
  • Blade admits that since arriving on Planarcadia, he has been feeling restless and that another power was beckoning him. He believes that this is the calamity that Yao Guang had divined and that whoever was responsible for it was far more dangerous than the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus and Elixir Seekers. He agrees to let Dan Heng observe him and tells Silver Wolf to finish up their business with Ashveil, despite her concerns about him turning on them. The two meet up with him shortly after the second Supplicant battle.
