Overview

The War of Independence was a revolutionary war, which saw the Interastral Peace Corporation owned frontier prison within Asdana revolt into the Planet of Festivities, known as Penacony.^[3] During the conflict, numerous Factions came to the aid of the prisoners, the notable ones being: The Nameless, The Family, Masked Fools, Mourning Actors, History Fictionologists, Omen Vanguards,^[4] and Astral Ecology School.^[5] Most of the history of the war has been lost to Family censorship and propaganda, but The Watchmaker, one of Penacony's most influential figures, hide the true story within Clockie Cartoons. While not a perfect solution, it allows some semblance of the story to remain in the public.^[6]

Trivia

• The concept of the War of Independance is largely inspired by the 1775-1783 American Revolutionary War, which saw Great Britain's Thirteen Colonies within North America revolt against King George III and claim independance.
