Let me cut to the chase: Today, I do not expect a celebration or any presents. My only wish is to spar with you. As General of the Tenryou Commission, I have the vital task of maintaining order within Inazuma City. Sparring with you is a test for me to see if my martial arts have improved. Since it is a sparring session, I will not use my Vision, nor will you need to use your elemental energy. Apart from that, you need not have restraints or concerns. Just let me see your true strength. Note: I will set up the dojo and have it cleaned up afterwards. You only need to be there on time.

My subordinates are always advising me to take a day off and rest. I suppose they are right. A bowstring cannot be kept taut forever. In order to efficiently execute my day of rest, I have drawn up a schedule with time for five activities, and I would like to invite you to carry them out with me. Furthermore, I would also like your input regarding the items: First is making offerings. The perfect day begins with the upkeep of the Statue of Her Excellency, the Almighty Narukami Ogosho, God of Thunder. Second is training. Proper exercise soothes the spirit. Third is patrolling. We must carry out surveillance of Inazuma streets and eliminate any potential dangers. Fourth is sparring. Exchanging blows with a fighter as strong as yourself is always a great pleasure. Having written this much, I discovered that the aforementioned four items are little different from my daily routine, and seem at odds with my original intent in drafting this document. In that case, I leave the fifth item up to you. Whether going to the Aisa Bathhouse to wash away the aches and pains of sparring, or going to Uyuu Restaurant for a full meal, I will be by your side, accompanying you.

Recently, the Shogunate's Tenryou Commission has commenced a two-week break. I now have some time to dedicate myself to taking care of my bow. There is an ancient saying in Inazuma that "everything has its own spiritual essence." Masters of archery will instruct their disciples to "channel your conviction into your bow when cleaning and caring for it." In the past, my conviction was to "live up to the Almighty Shogun's expectations and to do my utmost to protect Inazuma." Now that matters in Inazuma have stabilized, I feel that I need a new conviction, and that is "constant improvement." Therefore, I need to see you — a respected warrior who grows stronger every moment. With you present, the conviction I channel into my bow during its care will surely reach impeccable heights. Please join me while I tend to my war bow. I will be sure to prepare a sumptuous meal to welcome you.

Following an invitation from the strategist of Sangonomiya — and thanks to a little time off from the Shogun's army — I was able to take a trip to Watatsumi Island. I went as an ordinary traveler, not a representative of the Tenryou Commission. The scenery on Watatsumi Island is as wonderful as the rumors say — refreshing to both body and spirit. I went pearl diving with a local fisherman and was given a coral bracelet by a wise old woman. I also saw children playing in the surf, barefoot, collecting Loach Pearls and offering them to me. Though I was moved by their kindness, I wasn't sure how best to respond. A few words of gratitude seemed the most I could manage, but should I have offered them Mora for their troubles, or perhaps a gift in return? I hadn't really thought it through at the time. I also heard of your own deeds on Watatsumi Island, and I'm sure you're well-versed in the customs and practices of the area. If you have any insights to share, I'd be grateful — perhaps they could help make my next visit a little less awkward.

In reviewing our correspondence, I realized this is exactly my fifth letter to you. "Five." It is a number that is neither rushed nor tedious. It is a number that is balanced and reliable. It mirrors the current state of Inazuma, where steady progress is being made in every area of life. And I could not help but reflect on my own conduct: while strict adherence to military discipline remains my absolute duty, I may have become overly rigid in my personal interactions. Therefore, I am attempting to make a change. For instance, I have begun using verbal praise to commend my subordinates when they meet their training objectives. Though it initially startled them into issuing repeated self-criticisms, troop morale has noticeably improved over the past few days. Kamaji has also suggested I should, on my days off, learn to invite my friends over rather than engrossing myself entirely in maintaining the Statues of Her Excellency, the Almighty Narukami Ogosho, God of Thunder. Now that I have committed to this change, I naturally thought of you first. We have refreshments already prepared at my humble abode. There is no need for formality — just come whenever and knock on the door as an old friend would.

| You want to learn Tengu archery? Alright, I will demonstrate it for you. Focus on the five senses and clear your mind of all disturbances the moment you aim your bow. Even the slightest errant thought will cause you to miss the mark. It is the unwavering wish in my heart that allows me to hit the target... Watch! | |
| You're here. Please, come in, I'm just finishing my daily archery practice. "huff"... Two more to go and I'm done, just a moment. Why must I shoot all five arrows, you ask? Because I believe five arrows in the target brings good luck. This way, when we set off together in a bit, a swift victory will surely be ours no matter what comes our way. | |
| Protecting the mountains and forests is the duty of the tengu. I've known the bake-danuki for a long time now. They came here specially to celebrate my birthday. As a tengu, I must not forget my etiquette. Here, a fresh Lavender Melon for you. Don't worry, I've prepared five. There's enough to go around. | |
| On this day every year, I bring forth these five Statues of Her Excellency, the Almighty Narukami Ogosho, God of Thunder and clean them. Lacquerware is unlike stone statues. Regular maintenance is required to maintain the color of the lacquer. Attention needs also be paid to the humidity and temperature of the storage space. Otherwise, the wood will soften and grow damp. Is this a hassle? Certainly not. Celebrating my birthday alongside these five Statues of Her Excellency, the Almighty Narukami Ogosho, God of Thunder each year brings me satisfaction enough. | |
| You seem surprised. Did you not expect me to prepare my own meals? My duties with the Shogunate leave me little time for such things. Given that, I suppose your reaction is understandable. Even so, on the rare occasions when I have time to spare, I find cooking rather enjoyable. It offers a welcome taste of ordinary life, would you not agree? It is nothing special — only a few simple home-cooked dishes. Still, if you do not mind, please sit and join me. |

| Sara, you can make five birthday wishes today! Do you have any wishes? Wish... All I "wish" is to serve under the command of the Almighty Shogun. | |
| "Sara's over there! Quick, Traveler, give her the gift!" "Eh...? Who fed that puppy?" | |
| "Fleeting fireworks... It would do one good to admire them, but becoming enamored with their brilliance is ill-advised." | |
| "Hmm... This batch of weapons is in decent condition." |
